"Our enemy is numerous and mighty. They attack from the shadows, pillage our settlements, murder the inhabitants and overall bring ruin to the once prosperous lands they visit. These mysterious enemies pray on our people, and have been free to do it for too long.
Now the time has come for vengeance for the thousands who have perished or suffered under these raiders of the night. As the newly assembled army marches in parade in front of me to show the people that we will take action, I am confident they will bring vengeance of the empire upon these enemies.
However I still feel uneasy as so many brave men will die in the name of the empire against an enemy we do not fully understand. Even though so many innocents have already died, not a single one of these soldiers should have to die in the name of their empire against such an enemy. Not a single family should be broken by the loss of their son, not a single wife should bear the burden of having lost a loved one. Not a single child should have to grow up without a father. I pray to god that as few of these fine people will have to perish in the line of duty."

Amazing, I really appreciate you taking the time to write these! It is quite cool to see how the basic impressions I have in mind when making these translate through the music, but with a lot of different nuances and associations!

It feels like a story written concurrently with tyranny, a sort of warning about how a Monarch's reign that started off with strength descending into darkness would lead to a ruined people, a nearly forgotten remnant of the power they used to be.

I'm absolutely amazed by how close to my thoughts your impressions are! Thanks a lot for sharing!

Will you be making more content on language? I think language is an interesting discussion as it pertains heavily to mythmaking and the culture. Great piece of music btw :)

Hey thanks :) Yes, I will at some point (not in the nearish future, but some time this year). Essentially, my plan is to develop a second script/language that overtime merges with Imerilé, so I'll kinda get there once it becomes relevant in the worldbuilding!

@@LeoLeonis I study historical and comparative linguistics in university, and I'm interested in seeing how you would develop a relationship between those languages :) as I've also been working on a whole language family tree myself
