The Dave Clark Five had alot of hit songs from 1964 to 1967!.The DC5 were a rock band from about 1962 to 1970!.
WOW, Mike Smith sounds so great. Listen to that sax!!
thecoolmans.simplesite.com My DC5 website
Mike Smith was one of the most underrated rock singers of all time.
@@chicubfannin yeh mate Mike had a great voice without him the DCF were nothing may he rip.
Ahh, that just put me in such a good mood! There was this girl... )
Yes! THE BEST ENGLISH GROUP.
Wow! I remember this. It’s kind of Roxy Music with that sax!
Thanks so much for this!
Excellent
Just one of many of their recordings that were not released. You would have to ask Dave Clark why.
More's the pity. So many good songs are never released.
Is this an outtake from Mike's It's Only Rock & Roll album? Dave Clark and Friends? Sounds post DC5.
I have never heard this song before. The DC5 were right up there with The Beatles. The DC5 gave them a good run for their money.
Dion DiMucci had a hit with this song in 1963.
I wonder, do you have The Best Of True Stereo CD?
Why was this never released?
Probably because it’s only Mike Smith.
Some of the best are never released, but, yes, this should've been.
Probably because Dave Clark knew songs like this one would show just how good other members were and he couldn't stand anyone else getting the spotlight. He was and still is a complete putzz.
Excellent version even if I think Donald Fagens version of this tune is the best!
My name is ruby not pauline... feel honoured..
This sounds better than the original by Dion Dimucci!
John Thomas the original was by the Drifters from 1956.
The original was recorded by The Drifters in 1956 (written by Leiber/Stoller). Dion's version is from 1962.
