The more videos of yours I watch, the more I learn! Working in a School we cant afford the very latest of laptops so we're always a few years behind everybody else so I didnt know about holding down the Windows key and V or B and then the power button to reset the BIOS so thanks for that! :)
He was not trying to reset the BIOS, but flashing a new one from USB stick.
Probably the owner tried to upgrade the SSD and drop a sweat on the motherboard.
good point, it looked like a salty drop of water :D
Excellent fix Sorin!, Thankyou aagain!
Water underneath the SSD. Somebody has been inside before. Interesting fault. Watching the current and understanding how the EC chip works in the case of an i3 lead to thinking it's a BIOS issue. But all the time it was missing 1.8v. But that knowledge of how the EC chip works in this instance and watching the current and looking for heat found the fault. Great video.
Wait what... did i just see you replace a capacitor😂
I know, i understand, there where only 2 caps, and you took both off,and could only place back one because of the pads, so it was a bigger cap.
It is just not something we see a lot 😂
Keep up the great work Sorin.
I love your videos. They are so informative and you teach us in a way that compells to me
This should be right above the ventilation grill on the back cover!
where is your iconic catch phrase Sorin?? Did Diana make fun of you a lot -_- ?
🙌 Finally capacitor REPLACEMENT
💯 NO capacitor NO short
♥️NO woman No CRY ♥️
It's kinda weird a drop of water was below SSD. Anyways, thanks for the video!
Omg. Thanks for the spoiler. But its my fault, i guess. :D
The space next to the battery is for an optional 2.5" HDD
I once fixed a laptop just by staring it down with a no nonsense look on my face 😂
Scared it fixed
🎉 good work
Good job mate 👍
Nice fix. Is there a video on input and output capacitors?
Its output from synchronous buck converter for 1.8 volt spi flash
my mighty uncle Sorin !!!!
Amazing! they moved that m2 drive to stay like that sideways to there is space for drop of water to can make this problem :D LOL literally looking like that hahahaha
Hi sorin, thanks to this video. İ follow your videos and like it. Whats your universal dc plug name ? Where does we buy it ?
Nice one. The battery was still not being charged. Faulty battery?
You put a new capacitor LOL
If I hadn't seen it I would initially refuse to believe it. Corrosion from a drop of water? Do not exaggerate! That would have been my answer. Thanks for sharing. All the best.
"I can't believe" no one said this... but "this is NOOOOT a niiiice laptop"
Not a capactor, its an inductor...PL stands for power inductor!
An inductor is near both caps
@@chillinfartdotcc yes but Sorin was incorrect. Those components he was removing were inductors not capacitors
@@dombarton2483I've never seen and inductor that looked exactly like a ceramic capacitor.
@@SMAAAASHTV they technically dont, but its not uncommon to make that mistake.
@@dombarton2483 no, the two components that Sorin removed are indeed ceramic caps. The board does not label the caps on the silkscreen. The PL1801 is designating the nearby inductor, because there's no room for the text where the inductor actually sits.
Some time show what exactly beutiful day outside is ❤
He is My father as well as my uncle in electronic
Question i want to fix my motherboard because it's shorted but my path on my motherboard from the charging port is kinda in a loop or i don't know the path does not lead me into any mosfet and no mosfet or fuse is close to the charging port my laptop is samsung rv510 i'm not even sure if the problem is with the mosfet because i have lots of chips where some of the pins are fine and one of the pins are shorted sorry i dont know much about hardware
I'm disappointed that you didn't remove the little bit of rust on the pads. What's the point of leaving it?
spoiler alert!!! Sorin replaced a cap :)
hi sorin, can we cover a motherboard entirely with rosin or hot glue to protect it from liquid damage and dissipate the heat in same time.
Good day sir, i want to know how i can buy wholesale hp part ?
So, over de Ram it was a metal or plastic twizer ?
I bought the same universal DC jack connectors like you use. But at the end of the cable there is a usb-c plug. Did you cut the cable to be able to plug it into your bench power supply?
In another video he mentioned that he used an extension with usbc female socket and cut that off at the male end to attach it to the power supply
@@ootyguy9805 Thanks!
why dont u put a disclaimer so people diactivate the AD blocker
What universal adaptercable do you use with the powersupply?
He has a link to it on his Amazon list - it's basically a USB lead that he's cut the end off and then wired/plugged in to his bench power supply. I've done something similar with a standard DC jack soldered to two banana plugs which then goes in to my desktop power supply.
Brother who at HP fcked up with the SSD placement?🤣🤣🤣🤣 why is the SSD sideways like that??😭😭😭😭
I'm a little confused , it that mans you worked on the bios for nothing?
yes
Two capacitors for one, how?
looks both are in parallel
A drop of 🦆 💩 and it’s all over 😅
@teslasapple: We must forgive (so please, no one dares to shoot it) because it is the emblematic bird of this channel
