- A unique Opportunity to see Ian Paice and Deep Purple Actually Tracking/Recording the Track 'Out of Hand' from the Album 'Now What?!'
Recorded at The Tracking Room in Nashville Tennessee.
Producer Bob Ezrin.
Mind-blowing, Sir. I can't say THANKS enough for these decades of Deep Purple Magic. God bless you All.
Perfect!!!!! A true Purple tone and drive! Thanks a looooot!!!!!! More, more, more!!!!
Been a Deep Purple fan since my twelfth year in 1976 when I heard Machine Head for the first time.
Been a rock and metal guitar player ever since thanks to them.
Have friends who are jazz musicians and know NOTHING of rock music.
Had my jazz drummer friend hanging out at my place once some years back with Purple spinning on the record player in the background.
In the middle of conversation he stops talking, listens for a few seconds and then exclaims:
" Wait a minute. I know this, it´s that Deep Puple guy,- Ian Paice,- I can hear it´s him from the techniques he using,-monster drummer! "
´Nuff said!
Chief rules!
Its crazy how much influence the band members had from jazz as well as other genres. They came together to create something completely unique from anything else, and now many have tried to copy it for the last 50 years
Yeah, chief rules!
Thank you for wonderful 55 years! and yet to come
Ich bin seid 1976 von dieser Band fasziniert .Alle sind Vollblutmusiker die jemals in dieser Band dabei waren.Ihr seid für mich die größte Rockband aller Zeiten
Steve looks very relaxed, fresh off the farm. Love it
Incredible! Not many bands can get record an entire new track live like this these days but Purple make it look easy. Some of the best players the world has seen. Awesome video.
A lot of talent and genius in there
Personnaly as a live guy , its much more easier confortable and performant to me to record like this than over a fucking backing track .
Its what is supposed to be
Others " in the trend " nowadays find hard to play or record in that way .
Or non normal
but its them who re fucked up haha
@@Nissardpertugiu Totally agree, at the very least, you have to get the guitar bass drums and keyboard in the same take to have the main part of the song established
The best...
Thank you so much for all this years the good work. Sorry for me english.
awesome awesome awesome mr Ian Paice for sharing ...thank you so much
Amazing....................................captured on video. Big Ian, was the cherry on top. Thanks, Chief.
One of my top 20 all time favorite Deep Purple songs !!
No words to say..just that this band started my singing courier.Smoke on the water,I first heard in 1973 but never realised who that band was till I was introduced to Made in Europe and then I spent all my savings ...I never looked back and Deep Purple never let me down.Thank you for all the years and the arguments I still have over you!!!!
Ian: you're the MAN!! Forever and ever!!
Simply the Best
Ian Paice, the most important Hard Rock drummer in history, since he was 12 years old that I admire him to this day that I am 56 years old, amazing ..!!
I love you Ian...!
Purple is still putting out good music and it’s a real shame that almost no one is playing it.
Awesome Chief. Long time fan keep rocking.
I'm a Deep Purple fan since 1972, you guys inspired me to play bass, I now have a long history playing in rock bands in Ireland and abroad, my style of playing is influenced by Roger Glover, and now, I have heard this recording for the first time............just fantastic!
They need to play this live
Ian my Favorite!
SUPER!!!!!!
Neat Video. The song has some good rhythms. Looking forward to the next one.
Hi Ian I am very u fan I started playing at 11 years old and you are part of my influence on the drums I am very grateful for your music to turn me into a drummer
My first concert ever was seeing Deep Purple in the Now What tour, I was only 12 at the time and it absolutely blew me away! Next thing I did the week after was go into a store and buy that album (deluxe version; CD and DVD because I had birthday money I hadn't used yet haha) and so it holds a very dear spot in my heart. Out of Hand is definitely a stand out track and was always one of my favourites- it's really a dream come true to be able to see it in the making. This channel is an absolute blessing.
Stevo Reno wow lucky you what a great time to have seen them, 👍🏼
@Stevo Reno absolutely! Am jealous- though, the band is great to see live at any phase of their career
Seen them 10 times now, first in 1993, last on the first of October 2022, and they always deliver! There’s no debate here, they are the best hard rock band ever!! Sadly, Steve had to go, but they found another great guy in Simon. The day I go, the church will be filled with Purple music😂 They’ve been the solid soundtrack to my life!! I salute you!
You are Great musician... Thanks
I am stunned to be hearing from Ian Paice! For most of my life, My favorite drummer. Then I discovered Bobby Caldwell & Captain Beyond. But, it is still you two that reign supreme.
Hi Ian, thanks for this great meeting. Jano
Wow! That was so cool to see. Thanks for putting this up for us all. Total Treat.!!!!
Fantastic as always!!! Great musicians , great music I like it and I love it.
That’s how it’s done ✅😀 Great track from a great album.

Amazing and great song ... with the seal of Deep Purple sounds 👏
Just perfect again. Purplish amazing style and sound. Brilliant voice and full sound. This is my favorite band In Rock!
Just love it
Very tight playing from all the gents. Excellent!!
Just hitted the button.. love the stories!!
Great guitar solo.
Ian as always simply you've got great groove , I'm jealous !! What to be in your shoes !! Love it !! Stay well !!
Hey man!! Very cool indeed!! Love that riff !! Really captures the full DP sound and style. I'm taking delivery tomorrow on my first 32 track prosonus recording audio interface board. I'm all mic'd up on Ludwig Vistalites 1975 Octaplus 12 pc dbl bass. Blue! Long life Ian in fact both Ians and everyone else as well. Most important influence in my life: Ian Paice and Deep Purple!!
Brilliant!
That was a treat!
I was a 6 yr age kid when my brother brought a tape home and played it in his Sony sound system , it was live made in Japan , 4 decades have gone and still big fan of Deep Purple , never had chance to see MKII in concert but saw you guys twice in NZ in early 2000 , hope to see you again.
Amazing!
Wow - just had this suggested to me out of the blue - and I am so glad!! I am also a drummer (61 years young now), and I grew up with Deep Purple as one of my faves... and of course with Mr. Paice as one of my many mentor drummers --- I had no idea D.P. was still around making music in any capacity... How awesome! I would LOVE to see some old school footage of some of the classics being recorded - if you ever filmed any of that era!... Great to see you still rocking Ian!
Damn this is amazing 🤩
I was smiling when the camera focussed to my favourite guitarist. Just like the village boy playing guitar on the wall of the roadside. Hehe ! So relaxed with his sworned guitar. In my place that guitar cost RM 17,000 ( 5 to 6 K USD )
Great!!!Thanx for sharing!!Subscribed!
С Днём Рождения, любимый, неповторимый Йен Пейс!!!! Спасибо за всё! Здоровья!
Thank you Ian, always a class act , must have thrown the Jade in the rubbish, WE all love you Brother...Cheers from Montreal...
Ian, I saw you guys in Nashville. I live 80 miles south of Nashville so not too far down the road. I thought that was really cool that you guys recorded your last 2 albums in Nashville. Great City! Love me some Deep Purple!
Loved it! Thanks Mr. Paice.
Indeed incredible !
still love your drumming!!
Hey Ian Awesome intro very cool Tune .... Ominus love Steve's Riffs
Great video material, thanks Ian.
That`s how it`s done - Absolutely brilliant!
Damn. This is really well written music. Very simplistic. Yet very big sound!!! Love it!!!
That's made my week that has, fantastic :)
One of my favourite Now What tracks!! Thanks for sharing it 🥁 I’d love to see it live ;)
Paice. You are best. Like.
MÁXIMO nivel...Bravo....Todo de una sola vez, solo los mejores hacen esto....Gracias por tanto y tan bueno.
awesome ! Deep Purple is pure music, i have this album in vinyl !
There is a lot in this song! Lots of tight timing. I'm totally impressed with Ian Paice's drumming - so relaxed but in control. This song has strong middle-eastern influences - very good.
Once again Ian, excellent quality video with fantastic content. Loved the 'cheeky smile' Roger gave just before you all came in. Great to see you all still enjoying yourselves after so many years in the game. Stay safe and well all of you. Norm in Yorkshire.
Killer song, sounds awesome as always
Subscribed cuz marvelous. Thanks.
Hello Ian, I met you a few years ago when you came on the Today Show in NYC to play Smoke on the Water. I mentioned that I listened to The Mule from Made in Japan album. I just wanted to say that as a fellow drummer (of 50 years), you are one of my favorites and that you couldn't have been nicer, (especially at 6:00am!) as was the rest of the band. I love your new channel here on You Tube.
This channel is changing the game, he's gotta keep doin what he's doin
Loving jamming along with this on my bass - can't wait for the album to come out - hurry up August!
Rock on! almost there
SEMPRE MUSICA FANTASTICA
Congratulation Mr. Ian Paice! I'm a brazilian fan of yours and I'd like to know if this package will be available on a CD version instead of LP record! God Bless You all!
7:49 is my favorite part of the song. What a brilliant album Now What is. Every song is so original and exciting. Blood from a Stone is modern day Riders on the Storm.
Oh, and a great channel by the way Mr. Paice, thanks for sharing this kind of stuff!
Nice! Seeing and hearing you guys rock fills my heart with joy. Thank you and I'm looking forward to another wonderful collection of songs.
This is some great footage!! Ian Paice is a pioneer, hopefully more rockstars will follow and we will see many great performances!
Wooowww suena groso me encanta!!!!!.... excelente Ian Paice.
Nice tune!! Love the drum tones. Snare sounds killer!!
Bravo!!!
I love these videos! Thank you very very much! I've been a fan of your music for decades and always wait impatiently for your next release!
I love the fact the you guys continue to produce music after all these years. If and when you tour again, please make sure you visit the suburban Chicago area. I’ll be there with my Deep
P shirt on that’s on top of my t-shirt pile.
Cheers
Ian Paice -- Keeping the dream alive!
Классный мужик.
Всегда восхищаюсь его творчеством
Not the chief, you are "The Master". You taught me alot back in the day.
THAT is a cool song. And those F'n PAISTEs!! 🤘
Awesome job, thanks for your time.
ME GUSTA EL TEMA EXELENTE DEEP PURPLE ❤️🤟❤️💯
Still great!!! Love your super fast snare rolls Ian. Miss seeing you on the ludys tho.
Actually one of my fav drummers. Love that he is doing quite a bit of sosial media stuff like this
Hopefully trying to gear up for a tour!
Nice riff and the little prog/fusion bits are cool, the whole thing having an overall Purplish tinge. Even if I didn't know it was you guys, I think I would have guessed within a few bars. BTW, apparently I have one of your old practice kits - a natural finish 1980s vintage Japanese Birch Pearl DLX in 10/12/14/22. I thought it a little bit small for you, but I have matched it up with a period '80s steel Free Floater and now it sings!
Stonking track! killer vibe!!!!
Keep it up Ian! We love it!
💜👍
Вне времени, ЛУЧШИЕ! 💜💜💜
Purple mark 2. Great band.. Much respect Ian Paice!
but this is Mark IV isn't it?.
@@js100serch No its Mark VII i think, last change as when Don came in back in 2002 .
First three tracks of "Now Wha"t are the strongest tracks I think, and yet no one as far as I know have been played live. That's a shame really "Out Of Hand" would be massive live!
Love the sound of Roger on this track.
Hi from Argentina. You are amazing!
Well done!
Dark,.......I like it!
DEEP PURPLE STILL GETTING BETTER WELL DONE
Ian Gillan Fantactik persona AND This Best Frends!
Thank you for these videos! So great to see how the masterpieces are created!
la voix de Ian Gillan est toujours excellente
