I bought it not happy with it. You are correct you really have to hammer it. We install tyvek plastic water barrier. On osb if you don't slam it hard and straight the Staples don't go in or crumpled up.
cssauction1 you are soo right. I redid my house removed the siding and replaced with OSB wrapped it with the tyvek then had a contractor come a wrap it then stucco it and I would never of been able to do it with the DeWalt. My 20+ year old Swedish Rapid R11 tack hammer to the rescue never fail. Thanks for viewing.
I completely agree I took the DeWalt back and ordered another Rapid on line Just didn't like the DeWalt. Rapid is just better quality, better built and a better designed tacker.

i use the rapid for allmost 20 years ain't it do great job and i don't change it for anythink . i think it is the best
