Hey this is gonna be a weird comment but I was listening through an old playlist of mine tonight and I just had a super clear throwback to watching this particular video on LOOP when I came accross it - at the time I didn't even know that Fireflies wasn't one of Nick's own songs ahahah So yeah, so happy to have found it again! It brought back so many memories and made me super happy, so thanks again for sharing it all those years ago!
I took my daughter to this show that night, it was right after the Jonas Brothers' 2009 tour ended and Nick branched out on his own. I also remember it being a cold, snowy night in Nashville.
I LOVE 0.38! He's about to sing "they try to teach me.." but the audience beats him and you can see his impression is like "yep, that's the one, cheers." :)
@CShorty55 uhm ya im playing without a capo... and no i dont think he tuned his guitar up/down... im putting my fingers at around the place hes putting it on... im strumming the first 3 strings thu... and from what i see in the vid... i think hes not strumming all of the strings too... but what i got is 977 and 755... either that or a deeper toned... 577 and 355... xD
ohhhh... but ya ur rite... he couldve tuned the guitar up and down... but i doubt he would cuz hes playing a medley of nick's picks and he would have to change the tone for all the other songs if he does for this one... xD
Disagree... They both have totally oppisate sounds. Mixing the two would be like nails on a chalkboard... They're both great on their own, but together, it wouldn't be good.
