    These are the brushes we use right now in Kimera. We worked years to create a product that we think it’s perfect for miniature painting, give them a try!
    KIMERA PALETTE: if you didn't participate in the last kickstarter, you won't be able to purchase it right now. But we will open a new round in the next KS we will do around May 2024.

    Honestly, I've always struggled with how wet I should make my palette, so that bit was particularly helpful.

    Always good to go through the do's and don'ts again when it comes to brush care and pallet use.

    Just a personal note - I prefer to use a slightly damp paper to flatten the paper on the pallet. This way I do not contaminate the surface with oils from my hands. The reason for using it "slightly damp" is that it helps with moisturising the paper a bit quicker so I find the process to be faster :) I wonder if it makes any difference that I do not contaminate it - probably not, but this got into my work process so I'll keep at it :D

    Thanks for the lateral movement explanation for cleaning the triangular shaped brushes!! I’ve got the whole set plus soap and deduster brush and so far I’m happy with every single one of them! Super high quality Kolinsky sables and really beautiful matte black handles!! I love them. I only dislike the gold since I’m no fan of real world gold and I like the silver cones like W&N series 7 more but I think the gold cone suits the matte black more?!
    However whatever I LOVE your brushes and paints and the size 2 triangular brush is already my favourite!
    Thanks for putting innovative thoughts and such high quality into your products!
    I just wonder why your channel hasn’t blew up yet - I’ll summon some subscribers maybe
    Ciao and humble greetings,

    Hmmm I have learned to reshape the brushes at the end with some clean soap in the bristles and let them dry with the little bit of soap in the bristles 🤔 I give them a good "shake" in clean water before I begin to paint. What do you think about this method?
    Thank you for the Tip with the microfibre cloth 👍I will do this from now on too 🙏👍

      It's a good method to keep a bit of soap when you finish. It depends on how often you use your brushes, if it's everyday like me it's unneeded, but if you pause for extended time it's a good practice.

    Thanks for a useful video. Just a tip, how to care for wet pallete sponges?

    • @kimeramodels
      @kimeramodels  7 месяцев назад

      I wash them with dish soap and cold water, but after a while it’s just better to replace them (like after a couple years).
      I wash them like once every 2-3 months or when I spill colors on them.

    Any idea when will the k-pallete be available to buy on the webpage? I missed the kickstarter but I'd love to get one.

    Thanks very much! I ordered the palette through the KS, but curious as to what climates the vent should be opened to; I live in London, which is very mouldy and damp, should I close off the vent more, or leave it more open? I'm unsure about spores getting in; it's a really industrial and dirty part of London.

      Difficult to say, you should try open and closed and see. Usually when it’s humid enough I leave it completely open or even put the lid sideways open

    I tend to clean the soap filled brush in the water, but get fresh water afterwards.

    Do we know when the paints from the last kickstarter campaign are getting shipped to uk

    • @kimeramodels
      @kimeramodels  7 месяцев назад +1

      They were almost all shipped, with some exception when they had also some other items inside the order. But to know the status of your specific order, you should send an email to info.kimeramodels@gmail.com and we'll help you from there
