Let’s analyze the video:
1st you see how small and cute she is.
2nd you see she is barefoot (story below)
3rd You see her making her “list of suggested changes” to the song.
4th the band leader taking note of the changes.
5th Angelina is holding a candle with “Screemin’ Jay Hawkin’s (original artist 1956) picture on it.
6th the old soul in her voice.
She is the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina wrote and her Grandmother illustrated a book about why she sings barefoot. She was on a trip to Iran where her grandmother is from and met a street girl weighing people for money. Angelina sat and talk with the girl. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, a Doctor but that it could never happen. Angelina told her to never give up hope. The girl complimented Angelina on her shoes and Angelina noticed her scarred bare feet so she gave them to her, and the little girl told Angelina she would pray for her every day. Angelina sings barefoot to this day to remind the world that there are still children in need. All book proceeds go to charity.
Oh, now you've gone and done it. You have let a wee little 9-year-old powerhouse jazz diva put a spell on you with her voice. She might have been 8 or just barely 9. There is no turning back. That was her grandma who let her in the door, then she handed her written "wishes" for the arrangement (a la Angelina) to the director. She always respects the musicians but knows what she wants. They call her the Boss.
You should know that she is really a 50 year old jazz singer and is she here visiting us for the second time around---so so great !!!!!

Yes, Serg, this is the same girl who just sang Bohemian Rhapsody to you a few days ago. Unbelievable, right? Both headshakingly great performances, four years apart.
You could check out her very early performance on Norway's Got Talent which she won at 7 yrs old. "Gloomy Sunday" a Billie Holiday song blew everyone away. Enjoy the astonishment once again.
Please listen to Angelina when she sang Feelin Good. She was 9 years old on You Put. Spell on Me. She is 10 when she did Feelin Good. She is an Angel for sure.

She in this song is stunning, I'm sorry for the destabilizing effect ... but this is Angelina 🤗😜 and this song is a kind of investiture, is the watershed between simple listeners and fans of that girl. Certainly not many adults know Screamin' Jay Hawkins, certainly the only little girl of 9 years in the world who knows him and who also thinks of singing him without any fear is Angelina.❤️ And it's incredible that this adaptation is all her own (the sheets written) and that at that age she was able to evaluate and transform, according to her sensitivity, such a particular and powerful song 😊 How is it possible that a girl of that age can make and sing the most beautiful transposition of this song from 65 years ago ... and it has been covered by many great performers.
@ The one of Screamin' was very theatrical and deliberately exaggerated, it was the 50s and he wanted to attract the public, but it is a historical song replicated by great many singers, look at this collection of some of them, but Angelina at 9 years is simply incredible !

Thanks for reacting to Angelina on this one..it is a rare performance even for her! It is truly a conundrum when we try to rationalize how it is possible that this tiny sweet-faced 9yo Norwegian girl can step up to microphone, flip some switch within her, become this "beast-mode" version of herself (most probably named "AJ don't play"), deliver an extraordinary and musically and socially sophisticated performance, then just-like-that return to the pensive young lady once again... There aren't words for this! "I Put a Spell On You" has been covered many times and is recognized as a classic, yet almost never is the tone of the original 1956 "Screamin" Jay Hawkins version captured. This is because Hawkins was the original shock rock guy (think Ozzy Osbourne type craziness) and his style is difficult to emulate and also because his dated delivery is uncomfortable and stereotypical to our modern sensibilities. Yet Angelina respectfully sings his own song in a manner that exceeds his (Hawkin's image is on the candle she holds at the start of her cover). She starts low, rising in intensity throughout and finishes in an unexpected and practically operatic style. You must go and listen to Hawkins original to see the true genius in how AJ incorporated many of his vocal elements [usually omitted from most covers]. This shows another aspect of her musical IQ and arranging genius (not to mention her masterful control of her vocal instrument equaled by few others regardless of age). My favourite from when she won Norway’s Got Talent is Bang Bang (8 years old) alternatively you could Fly Me To The Moon on The View (8 years old). Both are good, but on The View you can see how tiny she really is.
Another great reaction Serg. Angelina just turned 9 years old, two months before recording this song. The guy on the candle that she was holding, was "Screaming Jay Hawkins", the original singer of this song in 1956. Also, you saw Angelina writing on a piece of paper near the beginning. She was making changes to the musical score. You see the producer looking at it and smiling. He said in a later interview that she expressed those changes as "her wishes". She has always done her own arrangements to fit her voice. She is affectionately known as "The Boss" to the musicians. Angelina is one of the most addictive singers I have ever listened to, & one of the very few, that can pull you right into the song, making you feel, every word, every note, & every emotion. ❤️💙 I always have this feeling that Angelina is not only channeling some of these late great singers, but that they also pass through her, when she is singing their song ❤️💙 A rare beauty, in every sense of the word ❤️💙 Whether you are a believer in reincarnation or not, I find it very intriguing that Lou Rawls, the American Jazz & blues singer legend, passed away the same day Angelina is born 😊 Loved your reaction!!!

(It's much, *much* more subtle than the last 2 you've reacted to, so don't expect to be blown away by vocal pyrotechnics. Personally, I am blown away, still, but it's by the sheer beauty and maturity of the performance. She was 8½.)

I want to suggest "La Boheme," (The Bohemian) not from the Puccini opera, but a modern love song by the famous French-Armenian artist Charles Aznavour. One of Angelina's super-fans put the video together with audio from Angelina's studio recording, video from a rehearsal & some lovely French scenery. It is very satisfying, & a great job by Rusty. A reactor from France loved it. He commented on how difficult it is to sing, how the words are so packed together & must be sung quite rapidly, or something like that.
