I really, thoroughly enjoyed listening to the whole thing. However, the last section with Magixx breaking down his final was exceptionally engaging, and I am quite impressed with his willingness to speak openly about an emotionally charged moment. As a side note: quite impressed with his English as well, I certainly would not want to do a 2 hour show speaking Russian! Props all around, and thank you!

No way! Awesome guest. Demo watching is my favourite thing in any game. I love learning the game by watching my past matches, seeing my opponents’ pov, etc. The CS2 demo viewer looks bad, the way the mouse works is awful, and sometimes it’s laggy, stuttery, or totally breaks if you go back. The fact it’s unusable is one of the reasons I don’t want to play. Even GO had fragmovies on the decline.
On the question of Fragmovies - I think the problem is not the CS2 demo viewer being shit, rather the fact that the videos don't get the viewers, equivalent to the work put into them. The HLTV Top 20 2023 Fragmovie is hands down the very best one I've ever watched, the editor put so much effort into it and it barely got 200k views. That's a massive downer for people that make the high effort fragmovies.
Comparing bigu and the leaders like cadian/snappi where when they get the stars the lose some of their system. It's a very interesting thought but hard to say it would happen or not but could be a great speculative point
Having Magixx on after maui stated directly after the major that -magixx +kyousuke is a move he'd go for. Gives me the same energy as when thorin interviewed blade during the drama where cis fans were incorrectly claiming Richard called blade a clown but nonetheless thorin and Richard were indeed calling for his head a bit.
@Sok4h that's a great one! It doesn't fit in the sense that it was 1 "forced" and 2 its not like it's an "achievement" that kassad got hooxi on the desk like it is with the two examples I listed. HOWEVER despite it not being a perfect fit. Well unlike thorin+blade/maui+magixx With Kassad+hooxi there was ACTUAL beef. Genuine feelings of "I don't fuck with this dude" So because its such an extreme example of 2 polarizing conflicting personalities, frankly I think it takes the cake DESPITE not fully fitting hahaha. A great point Magixx made is that Heroic might be using the Sangal core temporarily, waiting to get their own vrs points in order, and then will swap for Nilo after. This seems like another weird thing caused by the VRS system.

I think it's pretty obviously implied that Nilo has something outside the game going on right now so he's not in the right headspace to compete professionally at the moment. Heroic probably only learned of this late into negotiation with him and decided it was still worth it. If it was just about cheesing VRS he would have played at Blast.
Question for you guys, would the reason for the top 4 teams not attending PGL Cluj be because of schedulingof other events? or just to avoid burnout. After I heard the announcement I of the teams I was so bummed out that I couldnt meet Spirit and so many romanians are dissapointed that they cant watch iM play live on hes home turf. Im thankful for magixx going in a bit deeper about the situation but im curious about your opinion on this matter.

1:03:30 On the point about demos, I spend literally 10s of hours every big tournament in them for making videos and in short: Yea theyre a shitshow, they are buggy and have a ton of glitches even in the baseline functionality. Like for example the timelines are supposed to show the start and end of the rounds and almost never do and X-ray bugs out when you skip from one point in the round back to another. Also I know this from talking to a buddy whos building a demo viewer but all TOs demos are slightly different because of all their specific server configs and plugins so like BLAST for example their demos just dont work on external sites most of time and cant be viewed outside of the game client.
