- Stunning morning approach of a beautiful new SmartWings Boeing 737 MAX 8 in front of the scenic mountains, also including crosswind landing and takeoff.
We are very happy to present you the first video of our new Samos Airport planespotting series. Even though only very few people know Samos Airport as a spotting airport, the airport of the Greek island offers stunning approaches and takeoffs as well as a nice selection of European holiday traffic. The best thing about this video: It is taken from our hotel! Many thanks to the amazing Fito Aqua Bleu hotel right next to the airport for building a small observation deck, really enjoyed it!

Wow, was ein fantastisches Video! Der Approach sah wirklich spektakulär aus, zum einen natürlich den sehr kurzen Final, zum anderen die tollen Berge im Hintergrund! Während des Banks sah das wirklich toll aus :) Und dazu noch Crosswind und ne 737MAX, die man ja auch noch nicht allzu häufig sieht...

I know, SmartWings is not operates flights from/to DUS.. only code-share as a partner of Czech Airlines.. SmartWings is similar like Germania or Laudamotion :-D

Ein in der Tat sehr beeindruckender Approach auf Samos’ Airport, vor allem mit der hügeligen Landschaft im Hintergrund sehen die Aufnahmen sehr spektakulär und für die Piloten ziemlich anspruchsvoll aus. Daumen auf alle Fälle ganz weit nach oben für dieses gelungene Video; die Location fand ich übrigens auch sehr cool, weil man zunächst gedacht, dass der Flieger aufgrund des hohen Grases und der Seitenwinde genau auf einen zufliegen würde ;).

Boah dieser Anflug ist schon sehr beeindruckend und dann noch die schöne 737MAX... Ich habe sie zwar vor euch erwischt in Form der 737MAX von LOT, aber ihr hattet eindeutig die bessere Location :D
