Have you heard of “Well I Never”. It’s similar to the ones you like (which I also follow). I particularly like “That Chapter” as well.

A former neighbour of mine, the late Henry Warwick, played Joseph Caillaux in the 1918 silent film "The Caillaux Affair." His make-up and portrayal were so accurate that publicity stills from the film are still confused with historic originals. I recognized one here.

The Caillaux murder trial overshadowing the start of WW1 REALLY reminds me of how Kobe Bryant's death in a helicopter crash in January 2020 overshadowed the first diagnosed cases of COVID showing up in LA-literally, Kobe Bryant died on the same exact day the first confirmed COVID case was reported in LA.

@@janetpendlebury6808 Kobe Bryant was a very famous American pro basketball player, best remembered for playing on the LA Lakers. At the time he and his 13-year-old daughter, GiGi, both died in that helicopter crash, he'd only been retired from basketball for less than 2-3 years.

Part of the problem was that the prosecutor was somewhat out of his depth in this trial. He tried to depict Henriette Caillaux as not holding the right values for someone in her position such as spending her afternoons being involved in charity work instead of being at home running the household. The problem was that this was perfectly normal for someone of her class. And even the prosecutors own wife was involved in charity work in the afternoon.
