BEYOND ENTERTAINMENT SHOW: The stories behind the movies!
I have not yet listened to the interview but I had to make this comment first. All the actors brought in to play the new major characters i.e. the Registrar, Rambo, Police Inspector Gabriel, and Kayode, like the rest of the seasoned veteran Mount Zion cast that we know and had previously seen in earlier seasons e.g. Baba 'Gbenro, Mama 'Gbenro, 'Gbenro, 'Gbade, Chief Duro Sanya, Martins, 'Dele's father, all did a great job and embodied their characters; as did the other newcomers we had seen earlier in the series like 'Dele, Flora, Flora's sister, etc. I commend everyone most heartily. I have to say, however, that I have to give VERY Special Mention to 'Kayode'. What some may not have noticed is the great gift, not skill, gift that this actor has in portraying deep emotions and deep emotional, psychological, spiritual, INTERNAL events, crises, turmoil and changes taking place in a character. AND, the TRANSITIONS and the fluctuations through one emotion to the other to the other, and sometimes as necessary, back and forth, and round and round, etc. All the pain, agony, confusion, fear, anger, desperation, feverish seeking, questing, thirsting for answers, manic teetering on the very edge of sanity/insanity, depths of despair, brokenness, surrender, relief, deep anguish of the soul and spirit and mind, all are deftly, with just the right touch, not too heavy, not too light, with just the right timing, masterfully wielded, in turn, on the stage of his face and his eyes. Acting without the use of physicality, without relying on bodily gestures and actions and demonstrations, without exaggerated facial expressions, is not easy to get right, and is not often seen in Nigerian theatre, both Christian and secular. His scene confronting Martins in the staffroom, his scene turning around and finding himself face to face with JESUS, are two I remember very well. Kudos, sir. GOD's holy oil on you will NEVER run dry and the lamp of your life in GOD's holy Tabernacle, upon GOD's Holy Altar can NEVER dim neither be extinguished but surely shall only keep burning ever brighter and flaming ever higher to the glory of GOD in JESUS' Name: AMEN!

Kayode is such a wonderful Actor. And you said you can't preach??. Kayode you a preacher oo. The scene at Baba Gbenros house and the mega phone scene mehnn!! You were even preaching in your interview now.

This interview just proves that Kayode speaks intelligently most especially as regards not living a fake life and he portrays a person with a humble attitude.

I love your candid and balanced view of the drama ministry in terms of those who are in it full time and those who keep a job alongside.
