I have been the elementary school librarian for 32 years. Use your library! Don’t know about your librarian, but i gave booktalks for book reports, taught research skills especially before they have to do reports or projects, story hours, purchased books that support the curriculum, pulled books and material for the classrooms to support the current unit, and such.

Spanish is my primary language and this year I will be teaching four periods of 6th grade Dual Immersion which means all four periods are taught in Spanish plus two periods of Spanish 1. My Spanish will be improving but my English might suffered this year!!😂😂😂
Yes the exact same thing that I shared here (birthday book and plushie) and I either celebrate them during the last couple weeks of school or I've done half birthdays before (I prefer doing half birthdays if I remember to put those in my calendar, it's varied year to year though!)
