  • Lung Volumes
    lung Volumes refers to the amount of air your lungs takes in or throws out at any given time. Lung capacity on the other hand refers to the amount of air that the lungs can take in or out at any given time. Both lung volume and lung capacities are important for a healthy respiratory system.
    Tidal Volume - It is the amount of air that js inhaled or exhaled during one normal respiratory cycle.
    Inspiratory Reserve Volume - amount of air that can be inhaled during a forceful inspiration. It basically means the amount of air that can be inhaled when a person takes deep breaths.
    Expiratory Reserve Volume - This is the amount of air that can be exhaled during forecful expiration.
    Residual Volume - Volume of air that remains in lungs even after forceful exhalation
