The one good reason for fishing the creeks vs. Wide main river. CONCENTRATION!! Its much harder to find them in a wide river unless you are VERY familiar with it. The creeks concentrate them to very specific areas...the bank! Two to three ft. Near current is perfect. Especially if there is structure nearby. They are an ambush predeter😮. My experience in Virginia's rivers. Forty-five years roughly. Too old to cut the mustard now. So i stick to calmer waters. I sure do miss my river dog days!!😢😮
Just came across your videos and I’m hooked. I like your style, very conversational, great quality of video, and lots of action. Glad to see you enjoy the Lord’s creation. Blessings, brotha.
Awesome video brother. I've had a blast making videos and you are my favorite youtuber. My whole family watches you wear them out. Keep on catching them creek monsters and maybe we can fish sometime together in the middle TN area!
John I can feel the love you have for river fishing why you enjoy these river tournaments! You’ve fished these rivers for a very love time you become to know everything on the river like the back of your hand! You seem to be at such peace catching these smallmouth wow. It drives someone to want to you camp out and fish everyday, all day! Good luck on the tournament John I believe you’re going to do awesome and can’t wait to see your tournament content! Tight lines take care and God bless!
I love this river… living very close to it I fish it a lot. I’m planning on exploring more of it next year… it’s just loaded with Smallies! Great video!
Welcome to the north John! The susky is a great river on the section you fished and way up north near the Poconos. I fish the northern branch every spring and first weekend in November and we do fantastic! Our record one day catch in November is 289 Caught my first 4.5lber this past spring Records show the west branch is coming back it’s been the weakest part of the river system Other small tributaries like the one fished are really good Tight lines sir!
Next time you are in PA, stop at Wawa for lunch. classic staple in the NJ, PA, DE area. Like Sheetz if you know what I mean. And get yourself a Turkey Hill iced tea….
That river is amazing and the sheer numbers of smallies is mid blowing. We had to pass on a spring trip out there but we'll get that checked off the bucket list soon enough...God willing. Our northern range smallies are built different. 💪 Blessings John
Man! Ya got to hookin' & cookin' on them Smallies, Brother John! Loved seeing you catch that big ole 19+ inch Smallmouth Bass. Hope you had a great time up there this year. In my own opinion, three of the prettiest fish there are, is as follows- 1: Rainbow Trout. I love the color schematic on that type of fish. The "Rainbow" design reminds me of God's promise, that he made with Noah. 2:Smallmouth Bass. The vertical bar pattern, and the mottled bronze design, is, amongst all of the Bass Classifications, not to be topped, and is totally cool. 3: Bluegill. The bars and colorization in this type of Sunfish, are not equalled by any of the color patterns of any Sunfish. For their size, they fight like little miniature Bulls! A Ten inch long Bluegill can easily weigh a pound, and it you're catching them on Ultralight Fishing Gear, equipped with 2 Lb. test line, present a real challenge to catch! Those are my 3 favorite fish. Just curious-What are your 3 favorite fish to catch? Have a great evening.
Next summer take a trip to northern New York for the best smallmouth fishing in the world. The Saint Lawrence River has lots of 5 to 6 pound smallmouth.
The ol susqy. I live about 2hrs away from the susqy in Philly. I honestly don't bother driving out there much anymore. I live 2 blocks from the Schuylkill which believe it or not is pretty darn close to as good as the susqy in both size and amount. Plus the walleye and muskie I feel are more prevalent on the skuke. Last few weeks have been ridiculous with 4 muskie and a slew of 20in plus smallies.
My little brother lives in muncy pa right by Williamsport and we fish the susquehanna all the time definitely my favorite place to fish for smallies dude we always smash them out there and they give one of the best fights for there size imo
@@CreekFishingAdventuresSeems like you have more problems with that type of Fishing Boat Motors, than you can shake a stick at! I wish you much better luck in the future.
you got your net right there - you land more fish - great content for the exotic locale - the quality of these fish is on another level - get a fish painter but get the right one #sidescan #fresh water football tuna
Hey, John! This is Amy from Guntersville, Alabama. I'm new to the fishing sport...just wondering...how do you tranpost your rods without getting a tangled up mess?
I enjoy your videos but am disappointed in the way you handle God’s creatures. Have a little respect and don’t release them like your discarding trash. Show a bit of gratitude for those providing your popularity. Thank you
Please refrain from holding the weight of the fish you catch by their bottom lip/jaw..... Their mouths are NOT meant to hold all their weight, especially by a thumb. I fish that river a ton, hate to see people handling the fish like you do.
It's amazing how many fishermen don't know this and you would think organizations like fishing tournaments and Bass Pro Shops would say that more often
🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ And you know this specifically how??? Kindly point out the place where God intended us to put our fingers upon catching fish without teeth?

If you jig a trout magnet really hard or hard enough to keep it on top water, smallies absolutely love it

Happy Thanksgiving, John.
At least you were here before the late summer drought! The water would have been about ankle deep in late summer/fall!

Smallies are my favorite.
Hey John, nice video. I especially enjoyed the photography. Can you tell me what camera you used? Was exceptional quality.
Love your videos! Hey what kind of scale did you use in this video?
27:02 nice catch
That's Penns Creek known for Big Muskies. Surprised you didn't catch one.
Great river
They grow them bigger up here in Pa. due to bigger waterways and feed

they do get tangled sometimes, i need to use rod sleeves, that can really help
There will be ice on the susquehanna River very soon.

There is just as good as smallmouth on the Holston River outside Kingsport. Why don't you fish it?
i have several times and it is a good place
Please release the fish properly, please !
You have it rough, so rough? Tough way to make a living? 🤔😅
