The one good reason for fishing the creeks vs. Wide main river. CONCENTRATION!! Its much harder to find them in a wide river unless you are VERY familiar with it. The creeks concentrate them to very specific areas...the bank! Two to three ft. Near current is perfect. Especially if there is structure nearby. They are an ambush predeter😮. My experience in Virginia's rivers. Forty-five years roughly. Too old to cut the mustard now. So i stick to calmer waters. I sure do miss my river dog days!!😢😮
John I can feel the love you have for river fishing why you enjoy these river tournaments! You’ve fished these rivers for a very love time you become to know everything on the river like the back of your hand! You seem to be at such peace catching these smallmouth wow. It drives someone to want to you camp out and fish everyday, all day! Good luck on the tournament John I believe you’re going to do awesome and can’t wait to see your tournament content! Tight lines take care and God bless!
Man! Ya got to hookin' & cookin' on them Smallies, Brother John! Loved seeing you catch that big ole 19+ inch Smallmouth Bass. Hope you had a great time up there this year. In my own opinion, three of the prettiest fish there are, is as follows- 1: Rainbow Trout. I love the color schematic on that type of fish. The "Rainbow" design reminds me of God's promise, that he made with Noah. 2:Smallmouth Bass. The vertical bar pattern, and the mottled bronze design, is, amongst all of the Bass Classifications, not to be topped, and is totally cool. 3: Bluegill. The bars and colorization in this type of Sunfish, are not equalled by any of the color patterns of any Sunfish. For their size, they fight like little miniature Bulls! A Ten inch long Bluegill can easily weigh a pound, and it you're catching them on Ultralight Fishing Gear, equipped with 2 Lb. test line, present a real challenge to catch! Those are my 3 favorite fish. Just curious-What are your 3 favorite fish to catch? Have a great evening.
you got your net right there - you land more fish - great content for the exotic locale - the quality of these fish is on another level - get a fish painter but get the right one #sidescan #fresh water football tuna
Welcome to the north John! The susky is a great river on the section you fished and way up north near the Poconos. I fish the northern branch every spring and first weekend in November and we do fantastic! Our record one day catch in November is 289 Caught my first 4.5lber this past spring Records show the west branch is coming back it’s been the weakest part of the river system Other small tributaries like the one fished are really good Tight lines sir!
Awesome video brother. I've had a blast making videos and you are my favorite youtuber. My whole family watches you wear them out. Keep on catching them creek monsters and maybe we can fish sometime together in the middle TN area!
@@CreekFishingAdventuresSeems like you have more problems with that type of Fishing Boat Motors, than you can shake a stick at! I wish you much better luck in the future.
Hey, John! This is Amy from Guntersville, Alabama. I'm new to the fishing sport...just wondering...how do you tranpost your rods without getting a tangled up mess?

they do get tangled sometimes, i need to use rod sleeves, that can really help
There is just as good as smallmouth on the Holston River outside Kingsport. Why don't you fish it?
