How is it an obsession? Capcom redesigns are fucking tame as hell compared to MKX's. Also characters like Ryu, Chun, Vega, Zangief etc haven't been touched.
Actually, Zangief lost his backhand, which was his single most reliable method for handling projectiles as it came out quickly and ended quickly. Now he must rely on his extremely unsafe lariat for that or go for the obvious jump.
Well personally i felt Balrog SF4 desing was outdated (compairing it to nowdays boxers oufits, the cape/hood they added him with the boxing shoes look awesome on him, i just wish his battle outfit was his normal outfit without the cape/hood
SF4 version: Sounds like a song used for boxing commercials. SF5 version: Sounds like gym workout music. Also, who's listening to this because of Death Battle's Balrog vs. TJ Combo episode?

You know I am a fan of SF..I live in india(here people thinks gaming is shit).So,I wasn't able to play some versions of SF.Now,I am going to buy PC and play badass SFV.
I'm not a fan of Street Fighter saga, honestly, I just liked SF2 so much because that's what I could play when I had my SNES XD, it was awesome! An I guess Balrog's theme (even though I never play him) is my favorite. And this version is so good!

The boxer is named Mike Bison in Japan, which sounded too similar to "Mike Tyson", so they had to change it, but instead of switching the names around and confusing everyone later, why couldn't they have just named the boxer "Mike Buffalo" or something like that in the US? That's what they did for other characters, after all, like how "Nash" was renamed "Charlie" (before deciding that his full name was "Charlie Nash").

When I first played Street Fighter 2
I thought Balrog was the final boss.
For me...the same thing...and i became surprise when Vega apears...

At first I didn't like this theme, but now... it's starting to grow on me.
I loved it when Balrog charges at you and then you just counter it with a Hadouken or Sonic Boom
