Please watch the pronunciation of desi nomenclature especially historical monument or spiritual elements of sanatan, Its called the "jatayuh" and not "jataya"
20:00 Thats not the temple they were talking about. Shabharimala Temple is a huge temple which located on the top of the mointain. You cant even come close that temple in the season. That much crowd will be there.
18:40 it's not pillow but heavy rice pack which they will give to The Lord Ayappa in Sabari mala, they will walk throughout the way and climb the mountain as well in bare foot. Before going to Sabari mala, for 45 days they need to be absolutely disciplined, no junk, no alcohol or any other bad habits. All the pain will wear off when they see Swamy Ayappa. This happens every year in late nov to Jan.
Martial arts were originated in India. People in India from ancient times used to practice martial arts like Kalaripayattu, from where it spreads to other countries like Tibet and China. Love from Balurghat, Bengal, India
Lovely video guys, loved particularly how you did the voiceover after researching about sabarimala . Wish you all the best . Enjoy India and kerala ,my home. Thank you Rizwan for giving them a glimpse of our hospitality. You got a new sub ❤
The one thing that I'm missing in these VLogs are the thumping sounds of those motorbikes. The bike might be great for traveling but surely not for motorcyclists.
You are just like me Ollie. When ya bike is fully loaded up, ya have problems getting ya leg over! Even if ya stand on the foot peg. I think my trouble is old age! Ha ha. I noticed Lavis hair is getting a lot longer now. I remember her having it all cut off for charity. That was a great thing to do. Keith. UK 🇬🇧
Awesome video as always.. and im proud to tell you guys i passed my final motortest yesterday so this old lady (58) can go on the road as well.. for now only in the Netherlands :)... travel safe!!
Keep up with the local news their are Tigers, Leopard Elephants, Boars and Gaurs are comming from forest due to the dry season. Also be careful on the Hairpin's its a bit tricks.
From november to January, so many pilgrims used to come to kerala for vsiting a temple called sabarimala. I think those buses came from neighbouring states to visit temples in kerala..I think that neckclace seller's main customers are those devotees came to kerala for visiting temples.
When you are filling up at a petrol station, see if you can keep the motorcycle upright. That'll allow you to add more fuel, increasing tank range. Also, do a bit of research on Malabar and Konkan cuisine and try out items as you travel. Malabar is the Kerala coastline and Konkan in Maharastra coastline (further up).
Dear Lavi and Ollie... Thank you for visiting Kerala. It's a part of India unlike any other place. The usual travel vlogs start and end in the North of India which is largely chaotic. India is a place where at every 20 kms culture language food etc changes and so every state has it's unique identity and diversity. We are from Kerala and welcome you to our state. A bit of history will be interesting. In 1498 Vasco da gama set foot in North Kerala. This was the first time that a European had arrived in India via the sea. Thus, da Gama is credited with the discovery of the sea route to India. Rest is history. And Kerala is best known across the world for spices. Spice trading is recorded with Babylon and elsewhere way back 2000 years back. Whenever you get time during this visit, you may consider getting to know on how spices from Kerala influenced the food habits in Europe. Stay safe and have fun. We will be following your channel too. Bbyeee. Godspeed..
Dear Lavi & Ollie, Both of You are rolling out interesting videos, keep doing the good job. Just a word of caution - When you are on foot out in the forest or even by the side of the road in these forests/hilly regions, ensure that You are wearing adequate high ankle foot protection, there are plenty of snakes (some are deadly venomous like Cobras & the Russel Viper). These are very camouflaged and You cannot notice them even if they are right in front of You. Enjoy Your ride.
Love it. Miss you guys and kinda wish I was riding along with you. But I am doing it vicariously. Ollie's narrations are superb and the history lesson is resonating with Indian people. Your channel is growing rapidly and so it should. Ride safe always and continue to put out your beautiful vlogs.🤩
Most of the devotees you saw are from across the border from states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and others. They come in buses and other mode of transport or walk hundreds of kilometers to reach the Sabarimala Temple during September to January. the sacred bundle is offerings to the lord which will contain coconut, rice etc.
Being an Indian i didn't know about Hero Xpulse 200 4v bike until your video popped up in RUclips. After that I researched about that bike and going to buy. Thank you..!!
@didlous_diddleton nope the new upcoming 210 is liquid cooled engine which has high maintenance. 200 4v pro is best option because of oil cooled engine with less maintenance.
❤ , one thing about kalari is that those weapons used are actually sharp and real weapons , so if they miss any of their moves or lose concentration even for a slight amount of time , having a serious injury with a lot of blood shed is a real thing that'll happen. Usually around the world martial arts competitions do not encourage having real strong & fully sharp weapons , and they are only meant for visual display and based on points systems to decide winner , but here it's kinda a life or death scenario , these people start practicing when they're just little kids and it's after 15-20 years of rigorous and extensive training and perfecting all the moves is when they do such displays of weapon combat. And with respect to kathakali and many other indigenous cultural art forms from Kerala , right now throughout India as well as on the global stage , Malayalam cinema industry is getting the same critical acclaim and recognition for amazing stories and actors and technicians, and they always ask how are they so good , as you can see in the olden days their ancestors used to be kathakali artists , now most if them act on screens in movies and shows , so you can still see evolution of old art forms into modern and contemporary ones ! You should check out a Malayalam movie in the theater with subtitles in Kerala itself if you can ! That will also be a one of a kind of experience unlike other movie watching experiences in different parts of the world !
the roads you traveled on were very clean. Not even a single plastic waste can be seen but the People from places like Tamil Nadu, Andhra and Karnataka who come there after opening Sabarimala leave a lot of waste on the roadside 🥲
Yaa come and spread hate.. As if we keralites are very clean. This is what they say about keralites in other states throwing liqour bottles everywhere especially in ooty and kodai.. How about kochi or other cities, so much crap everywhere and it is not tourists who do that...
@LaviandOllie guys you were asking for what decorations you can do on bike i would suggest you should paste a sticker of state's name on your bike for every state you visit and i would also like to see your country flag sticker beside the indian flag sticker yk it will symbolize the beautiful bond that has been made between your country and our country.
This is Sabarimala Temple season when you will find devotees from different states coming to Kerala , so there will be more traffic on roads in kerala.
If you guys are heading to Bangalore city, there is a food street there. You can find a variety of food there. You should definitely check out VIDYARTHI BHAVAN restaurant in bangalore. Also checkout traditional food in bangalore for masala dosa, bisi bele bath, rava idly as well. Karnataka- "One state Many worlds". Also for SANATHA DHARMA(HINDUISM) they have a very special festival of harvest Onam and as well as Makara sankranthi celebrated in sabarimala. (glad you found them- most people actually walk there for 100's of kms) On a side note: Christianity started first in India (in kerala) (around 52CE) way before it started in europe thats why there are so many churches there
1. For all the riders - avoid accidents- do not overtake unnecessarily on the roads of hill area. 2. It is commendable your editing skills & also for background voice of plays.
Go to malakkapara from chalakkudy Kerala you will have experiance more wild experiance. bikes also allowed through there....recently I visited there..nice...ride!!!!
If you guys have a plan to ride the motorcycle only during a day then it's good else i would suggest you to install extra lights on your motorcycles coz at night especially on the highways you would need those lights ( if riding at night) ... Cheers 🍻
