Another Nice repair video thanks Richard, no doubt the glue was an attempt to fix the crappy wiggling connectors. I use a rubber band around the handles of my long nose pliers to grip components and free up a hand - thanks again from New Zealand :)
I do have some of that ChipQuick low melt solder - though generally I just add leaded solder and it has much the same effect, but cheaper. Next time I have a similar problem I will try the ChipQuick and video the results. With added Leaded 60-40 solder the first one came out pretty quick and easy and I am sure you will agree The problem with the second was the superglue that someone had poured into the casing and I don't actually think low melt solder would have helped. In fact I think it was the high temperature from the hot air station that eventually did the job. Actually I mentioned about the glue to the guy who brought these for repair and he said that it was he himself who put the superglue in! I didn't bother to ask why.
@@LearnElectronicsRepair I love the low melt. Most of the time it will stay soft long enough just from my soldering iron. Then I can pull the part right out or it just drops out. I get mine off Amazon but it is a generic brand that works just like ChipQuick at a much lower price. The glue thing is crazy. I wonder if acetone on a swab would have removed it without damaging the PCB mask? Thanks for responding. Just started watching your videos and really enjoy them.
I have a problem where my tv box stuck on starting apps... when it's about to finish it restarts in a loop. I flashed many firmwares but still the same problem. I think it's a hardware problem but i have no idea what it may be ? Do you have any idea ?

@Mark Gilbert Sometimes that is how it is - but there are beginners watching this channel who will learn from it. When I start a repair video I never know what the result is going to be. Some easy some hard and some I can't fix. The dead one could have been a buck controller or a dead ASIC. But that is the reality of it, and that is what I try to show. I'm not sure if many others are doing a similar thing but if so I would love to watch their videos.
Hope do notice me guys, my tv box is not opening and showing up but the usb port is working because whenever i'd put the computer mouse usb; it lighted up even the tv box is not working but in fairness' it heating up on its natural state... same issue guys?

Wouldn't low melt solder make them come out much easier? I use it when removing any plastic based connectors.
