Finally completed this one! Hope you enjoy it! Looks like I can't be trapping those hyenas anymore. I'll be streaming another Pharaoh week on Twitch soon if you'd like to follow me there. Unfortunately I don't handle the shirts before going out. For personalised stuff like that it would take a bigger investment and I don't want to go into debt in real life haha!
I really love your videos, and have watched the entire Pharaoh playlist. You have no idea how exciting it is to randomly open RUclips and suddenly see a new Pharaoh mission in my subscriptions :) .
aaahhh. Watching you unselect the warships before sending them off had me yelling at my screen! lmao Loving the series so far, been watching as I've been playing to see how we handle the current mission differently and what I can maybe learn from watching
Whew! Finally completed Pharaoh (to the detriment of my masters degree!) I've been playing the game since the demo came out in 98 or so but never got beyond the Old Kingdom. Thanks for the inspiration to get through it and thanks for the tips along the way!
Thx for this new episode! Ship combat according to the manual is based on how the ships engage. They e.g. usually one-hit if they hit the other ship on the broad side. Also troops are only equally strong compared to the opponent's if you play on normal. When you play on higher difficulty the enemy soldiers become ridiculously powerful.
If you have an option to send naval troops, rather send warships only instead of foot soldiers. One warship is about as strong as two full forts of soldiers (actually slightly stronger than that and infantry power equals archers in off lands). It is also more convenient to repair/rebuild a warship than rebuilding the land army again. Not even considering the embark/disembark crap or the possibility that you might need those land troops at home. I liked your building of towers though, that really helps overcome the army disadvantage when you have stronger/outnumbering enemy.
I knew Zahk would have to reload on the map. It's pretty hectic first time playing. Easy moding this map is simply tower the shoreline and watch the fun.
The boats are really hard to micro. It's better to just use the seek and destroy command as it seems to work most of the time. Also, you should get your archers next to boat fights as they will help and get free damage in.
Was replaying Pharaoh for these past few weeks, got to this mission and currently stuck on it and I'm on Normal lmao, those stupid random invasion spawns really screw me over, a large force literally killed my whole righthand island city because I didnt get reinforcements there in time.
You mean the music? Any sections of music that's missing means it got a copyright claim. Whether copyright claims are correct or not, there isn't much I can do besides remove the audio otherwise the video get flooded with ads.
I really enjoy watching your let's plays, but in this particular one, a single question comes to my mind: Why do You lower your salary? Does it affect your overall income or does it affect your kingdom rating?
Salary is taken out of your city coffers, so if you have high salary the city money is less. You can always give it back to the city but I rather not think of it, plus you just need enough to be able to send a large gift once a year to raise your Kingdom Rating. Lower salary does also increase Kingdom Rating too, not sure by how much though. If you're playing the campaign 'properly', your personal savings are carried forward to the next mission and you can boost your starting money, though I don't like doing that as it makes the missions artificially easier.
I used to play Pharaoh and Cleopatra as they came out. I remember that I was raising my salary to send more gifts, my army and industry were also very inefficient, I also played on lower difficulty because I was like 10 years old and I didn't know how to handle city building. Now that I see how You win every mission I will try to give this game a try once more but on harder difficulty. Thanks a lot for your response!
Yeah you have to learn all the secrets and then it's much easier to figure out a city. I recommend you check out my City-building Doctor series. Episode 4 goes over tips for Caesar 3 and Episode 5 is for Pharaoh. Lots of things people generally don't know there.
Yeah it's a pain and often buggy. You need to put the boat on the coast, then tell the troops to get on, BUT every single troop unit needs to walk up to the coast and *stop moving* before they get in the boat. Even then, sometimes it doesn't work. This means that if your troops don't have full numbers, there might be a single unit walking from your recruiter trying to get to the coast. Until that unit reaches, none of them can get in the boat. It's the worst thing in the whole game haha.
Just A Request: Can you Let us see all the times you get annihilated in Rowarty? The Naval Invasions There are Just Insane... Also, RUclips is Removing the Ability To Make Or Edit annotations!!!! >=(
It is so silly to play this game in hard difficulty, while the game warfare mechanics are this broken, and the fights are extremely unfair, just cheating god enemy soldiers. Better to have a relaxing experience with lower difficulty. But gosh, I love your naval blockade at the end there
Yeah the enemy troops are insanely hard to beat. If you lose too many troops, you won't be able to replenish them before the next fight. I did learn some new naval tricks here though.

fun to see you go into debt in the early stage every time. btw if you sign your T-shirt i may buy it....

Hey thanks! Glad i can do that for you! I'm trying to keep up at least once a month.

Thanks for the video! I love putting these on as I go to sleep, it helps a lot!
You're welcome! I used to do the same thing to get to sleep haha.
Heck yes dude more Pharoah.
With these Victory paragraphs getting shorter and shorter I fully expect the last one to be: "Well done." and just end with that.
Really enjoyed being part of these streams! Heh is a tough military mission, was great to help out on this! :D
Way to cure some Sunday night blues! Thx from Japan
You're welcome! Glad you're enjoying it
Yeah, Seth sometimes "remember" his promise just after u kill most of enemies, and for the rest he just completely forget it...
It would be handy if it triggered a bit faster. If you kill them too quickly Seth won't kill anyone.
What a god, totally unreliable. LOL

Yeah I didn't realise I could just send warships. That would've made it so much easier.
Yeah, I mentioned this to him during the stream when he was getting these events, which is how he discovered them later into the part :P
zakh the master of debt!! lol
Well I do know that if you aren't in debt you're not being 100% efficient haha. Though I prefer not taking loans if at all possible.
you never repair your warships it's driving me insane that's the only complaint I have >__
Haha sorry, I do repair them sometimes though.
You made me a very happy man my friendo.
Yay! Pharaoh! I've been waiting for so long and finally got my reward ^__^ I feel like it's my birthday )
Glad you're enjoying it! Pharaoh week is on stream next week if you'd like to join me on Twitch.
Me seeing a new Pharaoh vid: 🎵Let's have a party🎵 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😃😀😃😃😃😀😀🙌👐🙌👐🙌👐🙌👐🙌
Fuck yes! Perfect sunday chilling and watching this. More pharaoh!!
I knew Zahk would have to reload on the map. It's pretty hectic first time playing. Easy moding this map is simply tower the shoreline and watch the fun.
The random invasion location was tough too. I think this is the first time it's really random? Even if you reload it can change.
The boats are really hard to micro. It's better to just use the seek and destroy command as it seems to work most of the time. Also, you should get your archers next to boat fights as they will help and get free damage in.
I've more recently taken to just setting boats to hold position and let the enemy come to me. Seem to have better results with that.
50:00 1:01:11 1:11:11 Invasion repelled.
Their was a buttom for ships to automaticly attack the enemy warships and transports

Hey. Why you always remove part of Royal Track?

Oh yeeee, I waited for that :D

The problem is that you "DON'T REPAIR SHIPS." That's why they got destroyed -.-
Why i can't mount the troop the the ship

after hyenas aggro on immigrants, you can quickly surround them with gardens and keep them stuck there :D
we have *this river* lol
Just A Request: Can you Let us see all the times you get annihilated in Rowarty?
The Naval Invasions There are Just Insane...
Also, RUclips is Removing the Ability To Make Or Edit annotations!!!! >=(
I'll see what happens in Rowarty haha. And yes, annotations are going away, so I can't put the 'skip intro' buttons anymore.
Yeh. Very annoyed that they're removing annotations.
I Might make a video about it but Not shure if i made one it would get out before may 2...
Thank you!!!
Heh...
Yes Yes Yes !!! :D FINALLY ! :)
heh...
