Vacuum leak test won't show leak on hose. Have to pressure test. Also, do you not have to braze fitting in addition to crimping to insure no leak? Nice video, thx for sharing.
I got this tool, but the hose on my car is metric and the ase hoses don't fit. Is there a place to get metric ac hose???? I probably should have just bought the oem hose for $150.
Would u mind doing a little follow-up video on how you have those sensors hooked up to bypass the computer? I bet that trick will save me a ton of money in the future.
Look up ecm contorlled fan clutch bypass cummins isx. I did a couple vids on it well over a year ago. I'ts been so long I would have to go back and watch my own vids to figure out exactly what I done LOL
The vacuum is ok but far better to pressure test as the results of a very small leak will be visible in approx 5 mins the car runs in pressure, not vacuum
Sounds like you may have gotten wrong fitting for the hose size possibly, had that problem once on another project. Also make sure you have the right crimp die for hose size .
@@Evrenthewrencher That's odd, I only had that problem once and I think they give me the wrong fitting or something cause it felt loose when I slid it onto the hose. where as these in this video was more of a snug fit.
I got ice cold air out 79 Corvette after 7 years.the crimp tool sucks.i had to do second pass on all the hoses to get nice bite marks then it works there is one left.high side holds 225 psi for now after second press.2 day frustration i wud pay someone to do it
No one locally had the fittings to make a proper hose so I cobbled something together until I could get the fittings and this tool to make the custom line I needed.
I just started working on a/c systems on tractors and this video works great for tips on repairs. It looks like a factory finish well done.

Nice clean repair, very resourceful guy. I enjoy your videos a lot :)

Where did you get the fittings?
Good job! One question: didn’t the old way using hose clamps work? It’s a much more cost-effective way.
For a short period of time, then it started leaking! So I had to buy the tool and do it better.
Nice job and bet you will use it again.
Nice job. Were can l buy one like that plz help me
That was great, thanks.
how do those hoses handle the amount of psi from the ac system

Good job. Thank you so much for sharing :-)
12:40 Any chance you can share the website. I am having a hard time finding crimp sleeves.
I have no idea what the website was, it's been several years ago.
Where did u get the weld on fittings?
Any update on if this is still good? Is the repair still working?
It was working until the truck was taken off the road.
@@LifeWithChase how long ago was that?
@@anthonycook8737 about 4yrs ago. Had trouble with trans and engine was tired.
@@LifeWithChase thanks for the help.

@@LifeWithChase hoses came with fittings .i have size chart and digital caliper. It only hold 70 psi on the high

@@LifeWithChase thanks for relaying.i do another pass on the fitting and see what happens.those tools look identical on different names.

You put the pressure switch on the low side #10 return line? Fail!
That's the high pressure line and it worked fine until the truck died and became an organ donor.
Who would have done that cobble job?
