Dancer may be my main ranged physical at this point, leveled machinist because starting dancer didn't pull me in but gave it another few levels and fell in love. XD
I stumbled across the starting quest for the dancer and said, "meh, why not give it a try?" Fell in love with the job and mained it all the way through stormblood and shadowbringers thus far. I was summoner before that. Found dancer was my unexpected JAM in Crystal Conflict as well! It's turned the tide on multiple occasions. LOVE IT!
Because I power leveled RDM, I got access to Dancer as soon as I finished ARR. Though it'll be a second before I'll be able to really get into the meat of the class (especially since I'm still power leveling all my neglected classes), its already super fun even at lv50. Closed Position not being available is oof, but the rotation is still great and the mobility is nice. Plus I do headcanons and stuff for my characters in games because I get like super attached to my custom characters and I find it fun, and dancer fits in quite nicely there, so there's that too. My only real gripes are that the animations for Dancer, while really nice, are a bit too...feminine. They could definitely stand to be more gender neutral in their presentation, as every other class does a pretty good job of that in their animations. But that's not a super big deal and it doesn't detract from how fun the class is. Its definitely gonna be a class I come back to frequently Might have to fight a bit with Machinist once I hit Heavensward though, not to mention Paladin, Scholar, Red Mage, and whatever other class potentially ends up catching my attention, but it'll still get some love, that's for certain And yes, my big boi is perfect, thank you for noticing. He's the best boi that ever best boi'd, totally not a biased answer, just a fact Also, yeesh, slow down a bit my boy! I'm behind on these seven reasons why to play videos, need to catch up!
You know, you forgot the best part of dancer, which is choosing a party member to die. Just choose your dance partner, and boom! they tank the floor. Such devastation!

I absolutely love it when im in the middle of the mob doing my aoe damage then boom theres a attack coming that makes me move away to avoid damage , but worry not because fan dance 3 and saberdance can keep that aoe damage going on retreat then after im back in the mix.

I went from DREADING every dungeon and trial as a WM, to LOVING everything once I switched to DNC. No worries about cast times, and so so mobile!
DNC instantly became my favorite class when I picked it up because of the mobility alone.
Not fair that both DNC and BRD have movement abilities, next expac I want the MCH to piggyback ride the Automaton Queen during her piledriver dash.
