While I was able to create a waterfall - The joining of the excel sheet to my dataset on the 1=1 relationship makes it take FOREVER to load. Over 20 minutes. Are there any ways to do a waterfall that doesn't affect performance this much?
Thanks Luke, i tried to follow your steps to build a variance waterfall, so first bar from the left is Sales last year, first bar from the right is Sales current year and between them are all the variance elements like price, volume etc ( of course those elements causing the change YoY are separate calcs, when i built this Value measure via CASE, it shows cannot work with aggregate and non aggregate, any idea how to deal with this ? or it has to be like in your demo that every value has to be a in the table already as columns before loading to tableau , and it cannot work like what i did with measure calculations inside tableau
I've not been able to find a better solution than this. Amazing video, really helped!
Great solution. How would you approach this solution when some of your fields are aggregates
Super nice video! Any idea how I can blend the 2 datasources directly in Tableau Server? I'm having issues achieving that....
great video
