Yes they explodes, except TNT we need set timer to make it explodes, shoe mine damage is low, so I combine TNT and shoe mine in same place, when shoe mine explodes, the TNT get the impact and explodes too...
I already pass this authentic mode few time,so I know where the enemies spawn,incoming enemies to my location..then I try to find better spot to shot and hide(cover) it's become easier, so far I know in authentic AI spread and finally held the post or ambushed you from all directions. My opinion when you stay at close places(not open area) maybe suddenly you will face many enemies that already close to you, that bit hard to clear them all... My tricks is stay at open area but there is a cover there.... And I try to shot them far away from my location, I try to kill them at their spawn... Before they reach me. Maybe that why you fell AI ruthless at lower level... Don't too defensive... Try offensive but save, that's just my opinion maybe others players has their own way
Campaign/story mode and survival can playable offline.. Axis invasion, multiplayer, survival co-op need connection internet..My comment above was wrong, I was sleepy when I typed it, sorry about that😅

Why does the AI seem so dumb with authentic? At the lower levels they were ruthless...here they just seem to be running any and everywhere

This survival mode, you can play it offline or online, online mean you in solo mode, offline, you play with Friends cooperative beat enemies
