Great video! The bottle looks stunning, so I’m sure it’s that much better in person! I remember the first time I smelled anything from Amouage - I was in Miami awaiting departure for a cruise and stopped in Osme Perfumery. My girlfriend at the time wasn’t nearly as deep into the fragrance game as I was, so I was shocked when she smelled and enjoyed “The Blue Beast.” I didn’t buy the bottle, but I did buy an 8ml travel atomizer of Interlude not long after. Such a wonderful introduction to the house. That decant has lasted me several years, but it’s on its last legs. I’ll likely be picking up one of these flankers this year. Just have to decide which… I definitely see the shisha/tobacco comparison. I was surprised to no such notes listed.
Thanks for the review. I've got Reflection, Jubilation and Memoir, all non-magnetic cap versions. But will test out the extraits of the first 2. In an unrelated note, Marc please watch your video on mute and look at how often you touch or adjust your glasses. It's about every 20-25 seconds or less... is this a nervous habit/twitch or do they just not fit you correctly? Maybe go get them adjusted...?

Cheers Marc , I never sniffed Interlude or any of its predecessors 😮 shocking 😊, I’ve 14 bottles in my collection from Amouage ,latest addition being Overture Man and it’s uncanny have not Interlude?? Head scratcher for sure because I know it’s right up my alley??,Ikinda focused on the discontinued ones I guess 😮. Cheers great review enjoyed it a lot 🙏✌️👍
I actually think the blue suits it perfectly. Sounds silly maybe but I see it as this cosmic chaos kinda scent, that dark blue being like an inky deep space vibe…. And no I haven’t been smoking anything 😂😂😂 Love interlude! Cheers Marc
I love the original, but never bought a full bottle. I need to try this one. It may end up landing on my shelf instead. I also adore Black Iris. It's one of the smoothest dark fragrances I have encountered.

I like the three of them, I’m a little overwhelmed right now, so I don’t know if I will buy the 53, I have 5 ml from Amouage, that will last me for a while so I can wait to get a good deal on the full bottle if I decide to get it. This stuff ruined my perfume shopping experience 😂 I went to the Amouage boutique first to check this out (Big mistake) and the lady sprayed my hand when she sprayed the test strip by mistake. Thanks to that, everything I smelled after smelled like this. Proper mad performer. Super balsamic, Deep, Oily, Dark and honestly unforgettable.
I prefer the OG..by a lot. I have a newer bottle, not a gold cap or anything but just purely as a smell, I like it more than 53 and definitely more than black iris. I personally don’t buy fragrances for formulation or bragging rights. I just pick what smells good to my nose and in this case, it’s the original newly reformulated version by a mile.
Interlude was never one that I really enjoyed to be honest. I did own it a few times actually because I thought one day it would click, but it never did. I have decants of Black Iris and Interlude 53. Black Iris has the OG DNA but toned down with Orris and violet, not bad but came off powderey and a bit feminine on my skin. The Interlude 53 was a better release, but again, near identical to the OG in terms of scent only a bit richer smelling, so in terms of smell I would rate this better than the OG... but imo it's not wrorth the extra money due to the fact it is so similar. So my vote went for OG Interlude. Best of a bad bunch. Sorry Marc 🙂
This is some really oily stuff. It smells and looks(oil) like it would last a really long time but it wasn’t a day plus killer for me. I only tried it twice at Neiman’s though.
Please do a video ranking ALL of your Amouage fragrances!

It's not overspraying. It'll settle down in 20min and you'll be rocking.

I do like/prefer Black Iris for its wearability and balance but OG and 53 are great!!!

I’m a collector but this is indeed redundant. Not the case with Reflection 45. Jubilation 40 not sure yet..
If I have the Black Iris and the OG, is it worth getting the 53 as well, is it stronger than the original?
Unless you're a collector I would not advise to get 53. It's not a huge change at all.
