Introduction to NVivo: Part 1

In this introductory 1 hour workshop, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of NVivo - qualitative analysis software licensed by the University. NVivo can help you to organise and analyse qualitative and mixed-methods data such as interviews, surveys, and media.
In this first 1hr training session, you will learn how to create a project file into NVivo, how to import some sample data into folders, and how to code that data. You will also learn the strengths and limitations of NVivo for your research projects, so you can make an informed decision about whether it is appropriate for you. This is the first of a five-part series of digital skills training in NVivo.
Prior to the workshop
Please make sure you have a copy of NVivo 1.0 installed on your device. There is a difference between the Mac and Windows versions of NVivo, and depending on trainer availability there may not be as much support during the session for Mac users as there are for Windows users.
