Kita The 2x6 on the ground, as is all of the lumber in this project, is treated and rated for direct ground contact. That doesn’t mean it won’t one day rot, but it will probably be there as long as the pool will be.

When you cut out for the kick board does it take special attention so it will not rot
BILL C I used all treated lumber and the kick board stopped just shy of the stringer so it wouldn’t sit on the stringer and hold water.
I hope that bottom tie in board is PT otherwise sitting on concrete will have it rotted out in a few years time and you will have to redo it.
Isn't that 2 x 4 going to rot sitting on top of the concrete pretty quick?
