Ive listened to many a creaky ship videos and this one definitely has the most character. She's clearly the mightiest, craggiest tangle of ropes and planks on the high seas. Arrrgghhh.
I was a Deckhand who lived and worked on a schooner. Sometimes just around the end of the day as we docked a storm would roll in. We would double up on the dock lines and run around the deck putting the boat to bed. When it was all over we'd count the days tips off, hit the head (the bathroom), dry off and go to bed. The sound of the rain pounding on the deck in front of my face put me to sleep almost as quickly as a hard day's work. The only caveat was if I was on watch I had to wake up every couple hours to make sure we weren't floating across the bay! This brings back those little memories.
I work and live on a recreation of a 17th century merchant ship and the deck is far too thick to hear rain on unless it's a storm with fat drops, otherwise you won't hear much other than the few buckets collecting drips since we haven't had a chance to re-caulk the deck yet. You do, however, hear wind since it kind of concentrates and reverses course at the helm under the quarterdeck.

There is a film called The Thirteenth Warrior. There's a part in that film where the main characters are in a Viking longship travelling to their destination; the winds are strong, the rain is horizontal, the waves are wild and the boat is going up and down. There are several small 'tents' erected over the ship, and one of the characters leaves the warmth and fire of his own tent where he's drinking and cooking soup to give another character a bowl of it. I'm sorry *Spelling Nazi* but that's the spelling the *RESCUE SHELTER* I *ADOPTED* her from spelled her named on the paperwork.
▪︎▪︎▪︎
I'm not about to spend another $450.00 to *Re-register* her through the *Rescue Shelter* just because YOU don't like how her name is spelled. 🐱

Good genes. Good nutrition. Excellent Veterinary care. More love from her Human Slave than she can handle. 💕
I found it again. Now I'm happy again. Thank you.
Welcome back!
This is my favorite off to nap sounds when I smoke a bowl in the afternoon.
Next stop Kingston Matey... Finest you'll find in all the land!
This one works way better than just the ocean. Thank you so much!
You're welcome matey, sleep well 🏴☠️❤️🏴☠️
We are the crew
Thanks for this. Was perfect for drowning out the noise of my roommates while I slept during the day.
Cheers matey, glad we could help ❤️🏴☠️😁
Most random fall asleep video I've found yet. Welp here we go.
There’s Nothing quite like some weevil infested hardtack and leather tough jerky before falling asleep to the echoing sounds of the ship and water
I’m 3 hours and 40 minutes in. Can someone tell me when the video starts?
Just a bit further matey 😁🏴☠️😁
At about 10:00:08
Lol!!! Thankfully, the screen is black!
listening to this while being sick, and it is AMAZING!!!
Get well soon matey 🏴☠️❤️🏴☠️
@@captainsleepy i actually feel better now.:) thanks

RUclips has been recommending me some really weird stuff recently.
*I love it.*
I've been looking forever for an ambience video that actually manages to put me to sleep and this is the one. The gentle sounds of the water and the creaking of the wood soothe my anxiety that is especially bad at night. And with the black screen I can have the video open next to me without any disturbing light. Thank you so much!
You're very welcome matey 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Jack Sparrow " why is the Rum always gone " 🍾🍷🧉🍹🍸
So comforting... but doesn't put me to sleep keeps me awake cuz I want to keep on listening
I love it!!! Never gets old...but where's me rum?????
I like the part where it goes kakakakakakakak woosh bam woo wam bam!.. Gets me every time...
worst feeling ever.. peacefully sleeping when you hear screaming afar: "KRAKEN!!!!!"
....
Kraken: "I would like to speak to the Manager!"
Oh don't worry that's just Karen the Kraken 😁🏴☠️🏴☠️😂🏴☠️🏴☠️
Krakaren
OK, this is the only Karen joke I've ever found funny. Lolz!
@@zachnewton5876 She be the most terrible kraken on the high seas. Recognizable by her horrid cry and her distinctive haircut.

This is a fitting homage to all the legendary pirates of yore. Cap'n Jack Sparrow, Cap'n Kenway, Cap'n Bowes, Cap'n Yarrface, Cap'n Hook and of course, Cap'n Sleepy Slacker hisself. 🍺
Sounds really good. Black screen too. Nice work.
