  • I saw this Dal Makhani in Farmfoods and bought it to review ! So what was it like ?
This is am excellent product and very well priced for 300g of food - the sauce is very buttery and exactly what it says on the packet - the Lentils and Red Kidney beans are cooked perfectly and work so well with the sauce - The sauce itself is very rich and creamy with a delightful flavour from the spices which come through nicely - the Curry does not have any heat with it but is just packed with Indian flavours ! I would defiantly buy this again and can recommend this to you - I score this 10 out of 10

Hi Graham, i was also thinking it seemed like a soup so a few packets handy for the cupboard just like tins of soup. As you said, add rice or naan - perfect. You could eat it just like a soup or you could add to it. I put some chickpeas in my curries, but you could add whatever you want - mushrooms, roasted pepper, tomatoes, potatoes...

Good Morning Kate, thank you for the comment - this is a very handy thing to have in the cupboard and is very tasty and would work well with rice, Naan and the things you suggested - the quality is good and the price is good ! a winner all round - it is well worth a go and it is not a chilli hot curry ! Wishing You a Lovely Friday :-)

Hey dear friend Graham, I have a question, is this product already made and just has to be cooked? I'm trying to figure out how you could possibly get so much out of such a small packet? Is it sort of like a thick soup or sauce, did you add water? I have never seen anything like it and I'm very curious. It does look quite delicious and I'm so happy for you that you could enjoy it after the disaster from yesterday 😅

Good Morning SanniSandyBunny, thank you for the comment - yes this is a ready meal and just needs either doing in a microwave for 2 minutes or 3 to 4 minutes on a hob ! I did not add anything to it and the bag contains 300 g of food - this was a really pleasant meal following yesterdays travesty of a meal ! it was very enjoyable indeed ! there are quite a few similar packet products here so I will be trying more I am sure ! wishing You a wonderful Friday my dear Friend :-)

Definitely will have a look for this next time I am in farmfoods i think it would be a perfect meat free Mulligatawny soup. And Aldi do 2 amazing roast garlic and parsley flat breads which would accompany that just perfect 🥫🌶PS Graham i don't know if you have seen it on your shopping trips but Heinz have just brought out spaghetti carbonara in a tin which if you can find it you could be the first You Tube food review channel to review it but I think it retails at about £2 🥫🍝

Good Afternoon Robert , thank you for the comment - I agree with yoiu it would be a good Mulligatawny soup base but it defiantly would need a bit of a lift with chilli - I do like the Garlic and Parley flat breads and as you say they would work perfectly - thank you for the Heads up about the New Heinz product I will have to look out for that - Have a great afternoon my Friend :-)
