Thank you so much Nancy! I really got down in the dumps when my top did not fit and I did not know until today when another person mentioned in the comments that Butterick and Vogue runs small! So good to know. Thinking back on another pattern I made that was a vogue pattern It did not run small on me but I had sized up because I felt like it would not fit me.
Zelda, I'm so sorry about you losing those memories. My phone is full and I'm constantly deleting and afraid of deleting too much. You blouse looks nice. Use that one as a mock and then go up a size. Wovens can be challenging to fit but using a mock helps so much. Have a great weekend! 🥰

Hi Zelda! As others have said Butterick seems to run small for me also so I always size up. Sometimes with vogue as well. When I lose my “sewjo” I make an easy to sew knit dress just to give me some instant gratification 💕
I did not know the Butterick patterns run small! I should have realized that because the first pattern I made was a Butterick pattern and was a little small even with the full bust adjustment. Thank you for the tips!

Hi Zelda, it’s a shame the top doesn’t fit, it’s such pretty fabric, hopefully you can get some more on sale. When I do a mandarin collar I hand stitch the inside as I find the stitch in the ditch not to be very neat. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕

I like how your blouse is looking❤❤❤ Maybe you can add fabric on the Sides to make the blouse bigger. I remember having the same exact issue with a Butterick pattern for a shirt. I think the button up styles are sometimes difficult to size correctly

from Gerry- I have a lot of trouble with sizing. I am a pear shape, I wear a 1x top in the store and a size 18 pants. If I size the pattern for shoulders and bust I must flair out at least 2 sizes to accommodate my hips and rear end. Hope it all works out for you. God bless.
