Hey you managed to get to Cote, awesome! Glad you got the feast, didn’t realize it was also the only Michelin starred KBBQ. Cotes one of my favorite restaurants, they’re opening up another in NYC with a Sushi restaurant inside it, perhaps a round 2 review!
It was amazing! Yeah we saw that. Hopefully we’ll be able to try it when it opens. We just went to COQODAQ too which was also incredible. We’re posting that video next week!
@@travelfuller I am guessing Kristin's talent is her palate and infront of camera skill while Will's talents are behind the camera. A great team understands each others' strengths.
You and Will are awesome. I actually forgot your channel but it just popped up today on my feed. I really enjoy watching your videos and I can’t wait till your next one.
You have to put the wrap in your mouth at once. This is to feel the change in taste. Therefore, make your mouth big and add an appropriate amount of ingredients to eat at once.
I'm a big fan of KBBQ. I thought Cote was a very good stop for a high-end meal! As you said $75/pp for the Butchers Feast was the way to go! The 4 meat rations were very slim! The bonchon selection was very nice! Being a big meat eater I would have been disappointed! Great video!
I have to say I agree with most or all of Kristin's observations. Koreans like to try many different flavour combinations plus we love to eat lots of veggies at our meal. However considering the extremely high quality dry aged meat you were served here I can totally understand Kristin leaning towards eating the meat more plain. If you are eating high quality meat you normally start with just salt. No disrespect to you Will, but I disagree with you recommending this restaurant for those new to K bbq. I would start with a more affordable place and go to Cote as a treat when you have some more experience to really appreciate not only the meat, but the quality of the sides (banchan). If you have great meat, but bad banchan you won't be considered a legit Korean restaurant. One last tip is cabbage kimchi (the classic kind) can be grilled. It mellows the flavour for those who might not be used to its strong flavour. Good job on this content.
You have to eat the lettuce wrap in one bite!!! It kills me inside as a Korean watching others eat that in multiple bites. That's gonna spill everywhere, you aren't gonna get all the flavor, and it's just an overall bad experience if you try to eat that in multiple bites.
Actually it is! San Ho Won is considered Contemporary Korean by Michelin rather than a steakhouse. There are a few other Korean restaurants with Michelin stars that seem like they would be Korean steakhouses but are not
Maybe chinese restaurants can start charging more is you can get the cooks and servers to start wash their hands after defecating and brushing their teeth for a change. Oh and actually start being polite to customers like the Koreans are? And try cleaning your restaurants for a change, and get rid of rodents? Start talking gently like the Koreans and Japanese rather than yelling at the top of your lungs everywhere?
@@jimwong2823 you could just explain the basics like the butcher's feast is not really korean BBQ. Those cuts of meat are not really supposed to pair as well in either the perilla nor lettuce wraps - and also that sauce is not a meat sauce. Also, the need to put some rice in the wrap etc. Being Korean, I took my boys to Cote for their birthdays and we only got the kalbi. That's the only cut of meat that is marinated...aka real korean bbq. Next time we will try the butcher's just to mix it up. Also, scallions was the only negative for us...we didn't like it seasoned so much, the traditional seasoning keeps he scallions crispy and isn't ook overpowering aka much better. Great restuarant thought - excellent service and food.
Looks appetizing & I bet tasty. Thanks for the food experience.
Cheers from sunny Florida.
Thanks for all your support! Cheers from sunny South Carolina!

Sanhowon in San Francisco has a Michelin star but they don't let you bbq your own meat. The chefs do it for you.
This looks so fun!!!
They have Korean BBQ here in S. CA. But that place takes it to another level. I wish I could sample that feast.
It was amazing! Our only complaint was wanting more. Now we’ve gotta go to Korea to see how it stacks up!
We need more Will content!! Did he even eat any steak?? What was his favorite one?? We must know!
Haha I’m just the camera guy. Only the talent gets to eat!

Nicely done. As always a pleasure to watch your reviews. "Forks Way Up"
Thanks!!

Thanks so much! We had a bit of a break from our normal content while we were away, but now that we're back we've been extra busy!

Thanks! Yes it was so good but that was our only complaint too. It would’ve been nice to get a few more bites of each!
I saw ur coqucodak review and it brought me here. Subbed!!
So glad you’re enjoying the videos. Thanks for the support!
It's the rule to eat ssam(wrapping meat, salad, and sauce in lettuce) in one bite.
Love Cote!!
It was sooo good!

Not the only one Korean BBQ with Michelin, let alone in the world! There is a Michelin Korean BBQ in San Francisco Called San Ho Won.

Goto Dolsan Korean BBQ in NJ
Thanks we’ll check it out!
Why are they cutting the meat before resting?
I would sub if she was single ❤ get the dude out of your videos please 🙏
Korean restaurants are stupidily expensive. they aren't any better than good chinese food and yet they charge alot more... that is so SAD

haha we tried our best!
@@travelfuller My suggestions do some research?
We always do a lot of research before going! So we know for the next time, is there something specific you think we could've explained better?
@@travelfuller Just ask staff n manager suggestions?
