Is it possible to make a reverse transmission from the new part? 🤔

Yes! there is a way to add reverse. Never added a reverse because motors can reverse but I can add one next video!

When changing gears, do you have to disengage the previous gear?

No. So those gears are in neutral at all times. I just hold the gear I want to be in. I can change it to where it’s toggled but I found it easier and faster to just hold when you want a gear. If you forget to disengage the gear and change to another gear, it just binds the transmission
