I've watched a lot of videos about Yellowstone.... this is by far the best one! Very detailed, and incredible footage. I enjoyed the views from the trails you took as in the other videos I saw no one left the black top to adventure out. Great job!!
One of the best travel vids I've seen. You showed so many dope spots, aside from the active volcano I cant wait to visit Yellowstone lol keep up the great work.
Excellent videography, narrative and editing. Keep up your productions and you’ll be very successful. I would like to see you do the same production for Teton Nat’l Park, Crater Lake, and Rainier Nat’l parks. Good success!!
Planning my trip in September! Gear is good to go! Beartooth Highway looks just so cool. That cloudy shot of it is gold. Beautiful footage man! Subbed!
Excellent video with lots of great info beyond the popular spots. I do disagree with one thing, for those that just want a selfie, take it and leave, I'd like more space for the rest of my visit, lol! Planning our first trip in out there in a month or so.
Wow fantastic video. I've been to Yellowstone 3 times and this definitely helped me find some new activities for next time. Putting the names of the places in the video is extremely helpful. Thank you!
What I did worked out great! I managed to get last minute reservations in the park (probably as folks cancelled), 2 nights at Old Faithful and 2 nights at Canyon. I toured the lower loop first and the upper loop from Canyon. It's well worth checking out Old Faithful the Old Faithful Inn and spending time at the upper geyser basin behind it.
Thanks for the suggestions! We are starting to plan for a Spring trip and this definitely gave us a good place to start. But, what do you have against Petrified Forest NP? It wasn't our favorite park but it was still awesome!
Great video, really learned a lot. We are planning to go in 1-2 yrs. Been researching just to be ready. Probably 3 weeks & drive from Louisiana. Thanks again.
Great video man! I just hitchhiked through that area and Camped there for a week and a half. Walking around the basins on a full moon on a cold night was amazing. I camped out in three locations for free... this is one of my favorite places
Yes it's very tiring, but I think because I drove 2 hours to get there. If you split your day up then it won't be too bad. I think going to the popular spots early in the morning is the way to go. later on it gets really crowded.
I made a wrong turn and ended up driving through Yellowstone at night. It sucked! I saw the biggest elk I’ve ever seen! I was only going 10 mph as well. Sometimes slower.
My fiancé and i will be staying for a week out there for our honeymoon. I can’t wait! Thinking March or April so it won’t be as crowded or hot. Going to rent a house around Gardiner area.
If you do get any distance from your car, carry winter clothing and pepper spray. The weather can change fast any time of the year and you don't want to surprise a cougar, moose, or grizzly. I actually make sure that I am noisy in the densely timbered trails, give out an occasional hoot and you won't turn into poop!
Thank you for the very informative video. We enjoyed it. We just purchased a Mercedes Benz 25 RV, can you tell us if we can use our RV to drive around the park to see all the beautiful scenery in Yellowstone. We appreciate your feedback.
Great points. People don’t stop to just appreciate it, it’s all about the social media clout anymore. And yeah you’d think people would want to walk instead of park super close, kinda irritating
OMG never drive at night at Yellowstone if possible!! The roads are dark and you can't see what's ahead of you. Leave the park before the sun goes down. My driver lost control of the wheel and we fell right into the ditch and my life flashed before my eyes. Surprisingly the airbags didn't go off as the impact was hard. It was scary and we had to get our car towed with people that work in fishing bridge and with people outside of the park. It was tiring and it was a low for my Yellowstone trip.
I wanna hike to union falls and spend 5 days in the back country around there. Where would be the best place to stay the day before going into the park. It sure where I should go. I wanna get a hotel the day before and drive in and get my permit.
What areas Do you suggest staying inside the park? I’m assuming you would want to break it up and stay at different areas so that you don’t have to drive so far. Spending 4 -5 nights there.
Hey Michael. Great video! I'm going to be going to Yellowstone for just a couple days in July. (Ug. I know, peak season.) My travel partner loves to hike but has a crippling fear of heights. Can you name some trails that I might want to take or avoid for her sake? Thanks in advance!
Good video very helpful thanks! We're planning to visit Lamar Valley as our first day (5 in total) in Yellowstone at 06/20/2020. Can anyone tell me if Hwy 296 is accessible at that time? We'll stay at Cody WY and would like to get to Lamar Valley via 296/212. Any advice from someone? Or alternative tips? Thanks a lot guys
yeah i hear that.. it can get overwhelming and you can sadly spend more time looking for parking than experiencing the park, my favorite time is late september the day after schools are back in session - early october is the best in my experence. hardly any people and if your going to see wildlife its cooler during the day so there slightly more active than just sleeping through most of daylight lol hope that helps!
True story. My wife and I took a spontaneous day trip on the way from Idaho back east. We did not see a single Bison. And our last name is Buffalo[e]. SMH. (Fortunately, we're going for 4 days soon!)
Hey Stephen just retuned from another trip to Yellowstone in October / November. They got hit with snowfall & closed 95% of the roads in the park including the one they normally keep open all year ( north entrance - northeast entrance) for a day or 2 sadly because of understaffing due to covid. I was told that they had minimal plows operational and minimal staffing, when the roads were open** I saw one plow in over 8 hours to the point a lot of people got stuck including me even with tire chains.. if you get lucky id say late fall is a good time to go, ironically there was more snow in Yellowstone than in Glacer national park in oct/nov~ cant guarantee snow but its more than likely.. or you could always plan a winter trip its just a lot more logistically involved hope this helps~
I have a hydration pack that has 2 gallons of water. Should I bring that or is that over kill? I want make sure i have enough water but carrying it on my back could be a pain also.
Depends on how long of a hike you want to do. You can do some around half a mile to several miles. We only take a water bottle, which is good enough for up to three miles or so.
So in order to go and see the many things Yellowstone's offer I must drive? Are all these locations in Yellowstone so far apart? I was thinking not going on my car and walk but then how am I going to bring my camping gear? Lol. Also is there campfire restrictions? Thx for the vid. Everything I needed to know.
I wouldn’t camp on a tent anywhere close to Yellowstone. Too many bears. There are lots of hiking trails, but you have to drive between trails. Yellowstone is huge, too big to walk it all.
Thanks for the amazing overview! A bunch of friends and I are celebrating the end of university by taking a camping trip out to Yellowstone. You helped immensely with picking places to go and things to see. You rock.
For the most part! even if not marked in some areas the path is clear enough you shouldn't have any problems, the only confusing trail i encountered was the trail to electric peak, it was not clearly labeled at trail junctions (2016)

damn he really hates Old Faithful, huh
I've watched a lot of videos about Yellowstone.... this is by far the best one! Very detailed, and incredible footage. I enjoyed the views from the trails you took as in the other videos I saw no one left the black top to adventure out. Great job!!
One of the best travel vids I've seen. You showed so many dope spots, aside from the active volcano I cant wait to visit Yellowstone lol keep up the great work.
Thankyou so much this made my day!
So would you say Old Faithful is your favorite?
its definitely up there lol
Beautiful scenery, so many different things to see, can't wait to go. Great job on video!
Excellent videography, narrative and editing. Keep up your productions and you’ll be very successful. I would like to see you do the same production for Teton Nat’l Park, Crater Lake, and Rainier Nat’l parks. Good success!!
Giving everything I have to make the best Teton national park video this fall (: thankyou so much for the support and encouragement!!
amazing and well-described video. I wish my life will give me a chance to visit Yellowstone one more time.
Planning my trip in September! Gear is good to go! Beartooth Highway looks just so cool. That cloudy shot of it is gold. Beautiful footage man! Subbed!
Thankyou so much!!
I thought Ol faithful lives in my pants lol
The best video on Yellowstone I've seen! Keep on great work!!
Thankyou so much!!
Pleasant Memories, worked at Old Faithful Inn, As a teenager, May to November months, decades ago, 1980's
Ben there and I need to do it again like you showed much more interesting places I didn’t know it was there. Thank you 😊 Great video !!!
Do you have a instagram? So I can stay updated on your trip
I do! @ Dreaming_Of_Reality
One of the best tips I can think of when traveling Yellowstone is to LEAVE THE WILDLIFE ALONE! Thank you.
Karen
Yeah shut up Karen
Thank you for posting. I'm sold now. This will be our summer vacation this year!
Well put together, great speaking voice very informative. Rock On !
Excellent video with lots of great info beyond the popular spots. I do disagree with one thing, for those that just want a selfie, take it and leave, I'd like more space for the rest of my visit, lol! Planning our first trip in out there in a month or so.
Sorry, I just can't past that intro music!
yeah.. didn't have money to purchase a better score lol the next video will have much much better music I promise
Saw old faithful in the 70s and again in 2020. Looked exactly the same. Old faithful never changes.
Wow fantastic video. I've been to Yellowstone 3 times and this definitely helped me find some new activities for next time. Putting the names of the places in the video is extremely helpful. Thank you!
no prolem love that you got to experience yellowstone that many times! so many hidden gems that i didn't even cover in this video!
Lol. I think people are joking about them bringing out the wolves.
Great video guys. Wonderful footage, good commentary.
I really enjoyed this video, can’t wait to visit Yellowstone. Thanks for all the vital information of what to bring, where to go and what to see.
One extra like deserved for the comment on [12:34] on the Selfie part. I call them "Checkbox Tourists"..
Thanks for the suggestions! We are starting to plan for a Spring trip and this definitely gave us a good place to start. But, what do you have against Petrified Forest NP? It wasn't our favorite park but it was still awesome!
Old Faithful isn't even in his top 5 favorite geysers? Guy is trying way too hard to be cool.
wow, that's crazy!! I was there and I didn't even see all these things! great shots Mike!!
No, thanks. I'd prefer management in artificial areas.
Very good information. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Damn, trash talking Old Faithful
Great video, really learned a lot. We are planning to go in 1-2 yrs. Been researching just to be ready. Probably 3 weeks & drive from Louisiana. Thanks again.
Wow you’re such a planner. I’m going in a couple weeks and I have nothing planned except where I’m staying 😂
Thanks for mentioning so many things to do.
Hey there! I'm going to Yellowstone in early June next year and camping, is there a specific site that is the most convenient?
also we have 10 people, I was thinking of getting one x large spot and bringing two tents
Thanks for the real& interesting video. Heading there in August & you pointed out things I hadn't seen in any other video.
Thankyou for the support, hope you have an amazing trip!!
Question, is Rv camping available, or just at designated Rv areas. We like to sorta boondock(but close)
Boondocking in Yellowstone is not allowed. You need to make reservations to be sure of getting a RV site.
Thank you, see you n the road
I just watched a bunch of videos on Yellowstone getting ready for a trip, this is so far the most useful! Thanks for putting it together.
thankyou so much!! hope you have an amazing trip!
Same just watched it and this is definitely the most informative
at least 7 full days in the park trust me
Thanks for listing the names of sites and trails you filmed. I am thinking of traveling to Yellowstone.
no problem! Hope you get to experience Yellowstone!
Great video man! I just hitchhiked through that area and Camped there for a week and a half. Walking around the basins on a full moon on a cold night was amazing. I camped out in three locations for free... this is one of my favorite places
look up kent hovind debate and start waking people up
looks fun, but i bet the trip is dirty tiring and energy draining!!! thanks for sharing!
Yes it's very tiring, but I think because I drove 2 hours to get there. If you split your day up then it won't be too bad. I think going to the popular spots early in the morning is the way to go. later on it gets really crowded.
Bring the wolves out that's so funny
Poor old faithful lol
I made a wrong turn and ended up driving through Yellowstone at night.
It sucked! I saw the biggest elk I’ve ever seen!
I was only going 10 mph as well. Sometimes slower.
My fiancé and i will be staying for a week out there for our honeymoon. I can’t wait! Thinking March or April so it won’t be as crowded or hot. Going to rent a house around Gardiner area.
That sounds amazing!!
If you don't mind the drive there we stayed near the palisades reservoir and it has an amazing view of the lake
Great video. Informative, and entertaining!

I'll be headed to Yellowstone in 2-weeks. Thanks for the tips and sights to see. It's now April 5th. 2021, so this comment is a bit late.
OMG never drive at night at Yellowstone if possible!! The roads are dark and you can't see what's ahead of you. Leave the park before the sun goes down. How long should I stay? I booked August 31st thru September 11th, but feel like that’s over kill
Great channel. NOT like many others!
Thankyou!!

Great video! I appreciate your honest opinions.
Great photos/video !
In what world is EDM a good choice of music for nature?
its not. I made this when I was younger, a lot has changed feel free to check out some more recent things ive posted or create ur own
Good video very helpful thanks! We're planning to visit Lamar Valley as our first day (5 in total) in Yellowstone at 06/20/2020. Can anyone tell me if Hwy 296 is accessible at that time? Which entrance did you take? Is South Side going to get us see some great sites? Or what entrance would anyone suggest?
If possible, don't drive at night. LOL Son did, totaled their car when they hit a bison.
I loved your lack of stupid electronica music in the background that is found on most videos
THANK YOU THIS COVERED EVERYTHING
Have an amazing trip!!
Great job. Great video :)
When’s best time to go ? went when I was a kid in July, not the time…
yeah i hear that.. it can get overwhelming and you can sadly spend more time looking for parking than experiencing the park, my favorite time is late september the day after schools are back in session - early october is the best in my experence. hardly any people and if your going to see wildlife its cooler during the day so there slightly more active than just sleeping through most of daylight lol hope that helps!
We are staying in grand teton national park and doing both parks I recommend trying that.
True story. My wife and I took a spontaneous day trip on the way from Idaho back east. We did not see a single Bison. And our last name is Buffalo[e]. SMH.
(Fortunately, we're going for 4 days soon!)
Did you see any bison the second time around?
@@ccap3211 We saw multiple herds the second time :)
Gary Buffaloe yay! Same, I just went for the first time a few weeks ago. I even saw a bear!
We go a lot. You never know, sometimes you see all kinds of wildlife and sometimes you don’t see much. Bison are usually easy to see.
Pronghorn is an antelope. They are very common in Wyoming and Montana.
When’s a good time to go
That there’s snow but the roads are open

One day I’m gonna go
What an incredible video! You include so many breathtaking sights to savor!
The water isn't above boiling.
Great video!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Do you drive around to all these places? Or is it better to do one or two hikes a day?
You were so lucky so see so many animals...
Can you take your dog to the park 🤔
Yes, you should be able to bring your dog, I remember some people bringing them.
I have a hydration pack that has 2 gallons of water. Should I bring that or is that over kill? I want make sure i have enough water but carrying it on my back could be a pain also.

Awesome Amazing how beautiful nature is. Hopefully I will visit someday I have faith I will.🤗🎇
Oh wow I had to watch this for theater class but now I just wanna go there
Those squirrels driving cars were nuts!
Are all hiking trails well mark?.
For the most part! even if not marked in some areas the path is clear enough you shouldn't have any problems, the only confusing trail i encountered was the trail to electric peak, it was not clearly labeled at trail junctions (2016)
Wow I’ve watch so much videos of Yellowstone but this one is the best
awesommmmmmmme
I’d love a phone call with someone who’s been there. Kinda weird but I’m about to go there for the first time in two weeks. I’m from New York and I’m going to drive there but I have many questions. @@DreamingOfReality thanks so much for the advise! I’ll go follow you now, I’m chopping_suey. I didn’t even know about a park pass.

How is it for people with handicaps like someone that has problems walking how is the trails for that?
Some trails are wheel chair friendly. Most are partly doable for a short distance at least, then have stairs further along the way. There are signs at the start of each trail and often a map so you can judge for your self.
Very well said. Be in the moment
Nice informative video. Would be more enjoyable if it was less patronizing
I don't think the wild life is coexisting like you stated. Just saying :)
hahaha thats a fair point (:
Are the boardwalks wheelchair friendly?
Just watched your awesome video while planning our first trip. you recommend minimum of three days, but how many of these lovely items can be seen per day...could we see them all in thise three days? When my parents visit Yellowstone they spent a week and loved it, theres enough to captivate your attention for however long you stay even if it just watching wildlife, Hope that helps ~ Mike
I got pictures of this park 27 years ago and it don’t look the same : it’s def getting hotter there
sadly its the same situation at glacier national park.. by 2030 all are projected to melt enjoy these places while we still can!
