Thanks to all three of you. I really appreciated the emphases on the distinction between Darwin/neo-Darwinian paradigm on focusing on survival vs. creativity or aesthetic sensibilities; the necessity of constraints/limits for creativity to flourish and emerge; the fundamentally tragic nature of beauty (the unity of the dark-light, pursuit of heightened sensitivity and capacity for aesthetic creation, comes also with a deeper suffering); the fascinating evolutionary speculation on the origin of the eye as a painful wound/and the general violence in the creation of new evolutionary structures as a type of trickster form beyond angels-demons/good-evil and so forth.
If creativity is extroverted for a person it seems to align with beauty and knowledge, where sets project those by circling as a base, action sent out as creative by making beauty, action from intent and attitude. If creativity is there for the person in the world then sleep, attention span, cell membrane and physical material in general might allow distortion to subside and the process to be intelligible when the signal moves thru one's mechanism of sleep etc.
@46 minutes, so this might be addressed later on, but just need to pause: I think the metaphor of scraping the walls of the maze for suffering is completely ignoring the prior established truth that lifing systems are not only capable but almost necessitated to change their environment!?! Pain and suffering can be great motivator/facilitator to chang your personal or societal constraints/rules/believes... .. you can shift the walls, and the walls also were not there from the onset like devine guide rails of your fate. Is all I'm saying. The walls are the constraints on the present, put there by actual occasions in the past. !?! No?
Cheers for the addition, I think in this case it was implied that the suffering is a signal of changing the environment / trajectory. My mind was focusing more on the prolonged effect of suffering on larger changes, as was introduced by Sam.
@ 52 minutes :-) Eating: Schrödinger has formulated this deep insight in "What is Life" that organism feed on "negentropie"/order. So I think it's absolutely necessary for the intensification of experience to have this mechanism of passing order up the foodchain.... !?!
"He reflects on Whitman’s idea that music already exists and is awakened through instruments." This is a great way to justify stealing, not just the music, but... Just sayin'.
Another great chat. Thanks again for letting us listen in, guys. Much appreciated.

Nice. And so forth.
I've often said - "Life is scripted improvisational jazz" - good discussion

Seems like ideas of autopoeisis?..
