There are 18 visible rows. I don't know how top outs work in Not Tetris, but I guess a partial lockout in row 20+? If so, then 4 is theoretically possible with 4 I pieces stacked on top of each other and a fifth I piece sufficiently vertically rotated to partially hit row 20. I don't know if it's even possible to rotate it fast enough to do that, or if it's possible to get 5 I pieces in a row; if not, a 4 is not possible. And if Not Tetris uses row 21+ lockouts like Tetris, then a 4 is definitely not possible.

The board is 18 block high. You can die by getting to 15 then stacking a line on top thus getting you to 19 and causing your death. Jonas used 5 to get to (4+3+3+3+4=) 17. The max with 4 pieces is (4+4+4+4=) 16. So it is possible to die with 4 by either getting 4 line pieces then either a line or 3-high piece (L, J, T) or by getting 3 lines and a 3-high piece then getting a line. We can calculate the probability that Jonas gets those pieces (higher than you think as the single 3-high can come at any time in the order, but still incredibly low) and thus estimate the number of games needed to top out in 4 but I'm too lazy to bust out my calculator. It is impossible to do it in 3.
@@SnessFresh I think you actually need 5 I pieces, but it's possible to get 400. 4+4+4+4+(square root of 17). That would be one of 16807 games, assuming every piece is always 1/7.

That is, if it is true RNG, which I doubt it is.
All I know is that it isn't seven bag randomizer (which would exclude this from working) it may work like the original NES randomizer does, which still isn't true random because it has some quirks like the chance of getting an L more than once in a row is waayyy lower then the other pieces.
@@_andrew_ well, I don't know how not Tetris works but the "random values" in NES Tetris have some quirks to them that make them not true random. I believe I read about the randomizer on the hard drop wiki, but I'm too lazy to go dig it back up again.
