@@rwall3450 I don't think it was. All team logos are registered trademarks owned by the National Hockey League itself. It's why Quèbec Nordiques and Minnesota North Stars merch is still available for purchase.
The Clippers played occasional home games in this arena from 1994-1999. They briefly considered moving there for good before deciding to move into the Staples Center.
Yeah I hate how everything is corporately sponsored Nowa days. Nature of the beast with business I suppose. But Fans still call rinks by their original names: The Joe, The Gardens, The Shark Tank, The Madhouse etc.It just gets annoying when they change their sponsorship and then have to remember what the new name ugh. Eg, The ACC (now called Scotia Bank Arena)
Good Ducks Other Than Oregon Plus They Should Have Duck Calls In The Building For People Who Are Fans And The Rest Of The Crowd To Use In The Building!
I think the reason why they chose orange is because it’s in Orange County And they’re only 30 miles from LA which I think is why they struggled with attendance
To be honest idk also I’ve never been there I’m a penguins fan living in Oregon it’s one of those areas that probably will visit along with Vancouver San Jose LA Colorado or Arizona as well as that new Seattle arena under consideration
The Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim was the original name, and it was built on one guarantee--all public money came thru a hotel tax paid for by tourists, etc. First of many cities that would later follow . Only when the Pond was completed, did Disney began talks with NHL. The Pond was named well before the Ducks became a reality. As ducks are normally found in a pond, the same could be said from an NHL standpoint.
It was a mistake for the Ducks to ever drop the classic Mighty Ducks jersey. It was so beautiful.
It was probably due to Disney owning the rights to that original design and the team at this point no longer being owned by Disney.

and then had the audacity to replace it with a hideous new jersey and color scheme. just awful.
They plan on replacing all the seats eventually! Heard it’s a multi year project
Yeah, when I was there last month they only had one small section done. I almost didn't notice it!

Love that Jersey you have.
I have a few now! I might have close to 25 Jerseys Yikes!~
The only thing I hate about the Arena is the name change. I still refer to it as the “Pond”. I’m a Southern California native

RIP Orange seats. I won't miss you at all.
It’s surprising that the ticket price is so low knowing its in California
It is competing with LA Kings, Lakers and Dodgers for audience and following. It is like NY Islanders trying to live in the same area as NYR.

Ron Burgundy that makes sense but I think I was asking why the green roof?

Ron Burgundy haha. Of course! How random can you get! Haha

Kebert Xela yup, Nashville was essentially funded the same way.
Thanks for watching!
Omg $94 a ticket is 30th in the league??
Keep in mind this was filmed a few years ago. But yeah, hockey is expensive to watch.
