I really love this song! Not only can I see this song working for Lucy Gray ( cuz she wrote it ) but Maude ivory too! With the betrayal that Coriolanus gave her and he covey. How they must assume she's dead and that they killed her, her seeing what an awful place he has turned panem into! It-its just AMAZING how you seemed to make that work for both of them!

Hey I have a question about the book. At one point Lucy Gray mentions that Maude Ivory is "just a few years from replacing me as lead singer". Why would that be true? I'm sure she has a great voice but she's a little girl and Lucy Gray has a really really good voice and she writes the songs. Do you know why this is? I know it was just one line but I haven't been able to figure it out and it's bugging me. Are they saying Lucy Gray would be too old? Because she's literally 16. Any thoughts?
@@rainbow_doglover8301 late response but likely bc Maude was even more talented than Lucy! She has even more spunk than her (which is saying something), and tbh, after the Games, I could see her just wanting to be a background singer since she has that nice dose of trauma to deal with!

Emmy is a Wdw Fan thank you so much, Emmy! And that is a great question. I think the best way to learn is first off, practice!! Record yourself so you can listen to it and critique it. Then you’ll know what you like and what you want to fix. Also, watch people’s live performances. Not only is it inspiring but you can also learn a lot from them. I hope you find that helpful! ✨🌸
