Aren't you glad you posted this so you can have all the backseat "mechanics" tell you how to do and all the things you're doing wrong? How about all the commenters just watched the video and thank him for posting it.
I believe the bottom spark plugs are reverse polarity from the top plugs. So one set of plugs has platinum on the strap while the other set does not hence the different part numbers. When you're a big company making millions of trucks things like an extra dollars worth of platinum add up. You and I as consumers get the platinum everywhere plugs because Ford figures we would just screw up where they go and we don't mind the minimal added cost for ease of replacement.
I'm a technician at a ford dealership, I think you did ok. One thing that may help you the next time you do these is getting a locking set of extensions from harbor freight, and a spark plug socket that swivels. These are both pretty cheap tools but make a world of difference. Also, don't use anti-seize on them, anti-seize affects torque. Don't buzz those 8mm down with a gun, they're going against plastic into aluminum. Also, replace the wires idk if you did. They should be the same plugs top and bottom, they must've been changed by a schmuck before or just out of stock with one set.
Man thanks for the tips. Im pretty sure I bought this same truck. Cause the front grill is painted red also. The decal on steering wheel is red also. What u think?
Late to the vid, but im a new subscriber. How many miles on ya 6.2 and what mileage did you change the plugs? I have 175000 trouble free miles on my f250. Had a full blown tuneup at 100000 miles. Thanks for great vids.
Thanks for the video. Your insane for not properly torquing those plugs down, and checking the spark plug gap. I got Motorcraft plugs from my dealer and they were all gapped way too big. Also, those aluminum heads matched with the huge threads on those plugs will equal massive problems for your truck if you do not properly snug them down. Just my two cents, thanks for showing me what the job looks like.
Use a fuel line to twist the plug back in
This way you can start the thread and actually feel it catching correctly
Thank you🎉

If you know everything then you don't need to listen to anyone else.

Great video very well explained. Thx again.
Sigh, I really miss working on older engines where you could just access what you needed for routine maintenance.

Good chance of it, I traded it back in 2020
Use antiseize on reinstalling new plugs just extra protection for the thread in the aluminum
Yeah that’s what I did

USE OLD PLUG WIRE TO INSTALL NEW PLUGS AND REMOVE OLD PLUGS
Hey nice video ,I thinks that's crazy Ford uses 16 spark plugs , do all this also become ejected from the motor block when running ?
Hemis do it too
It’s purely for emissions. Less unburnt fuel coming out of the exhaust. Super easy on the Hemi since both are right on top!
6.2 liter Powerstroke !?
Lol.
The fender badge says it's a 6.7 Powerstroke !!
You will want to plug your throttle bottle so as to not to allow dust and dirt in.
plug it with what?
You know they make a spark plug socket that hold the plug! Dropping the plug down a hole is a great way bend the gap on the plug. LOL LOL
