Global Music Match 2021 - Meet the Lena Jonsson Trio

My next #GlobalMusicMatch teammate started off 2021 with a bang -- she won the Swedish Grammy for Folk Album of the Year.
A fiddler and composer who is part virtuoso and part rock star, Lena Jonsson's musical journey started as a child on stage while her parents performed (she found a spot that was tucked out of view) and encompasses an array international collaborators and styles, including one that could only be described as 'folk psychedelic Led Zeppelin meets the legacy of Swedish fiddle culture' (it'll make sense when you watch the video). The Lena Jonsson Trio plays a unique form of 'chamber folk' that walks a line between The Kronos Quartet and David Grisman’s 'dawg' ensembles and I'm really excited to share their story and music with you.
