Event: Around The World Dance Concert 2023, 23rd Dec. The event was organized in collaboration with KS Dancespot.
The Jazzing Up Cheongsam dance performance that blends Chinese culture, showcased by the dancers wearing timeless Cheongsam and dancing to 南屏晚钟 song, with the elements of Jazz and a little fuse of hip moves. It highlights the graceful flow of silk represented by the Cheongsam, the cultural fusion, and the amalgamation of different dance styles seamlessly coming together in harmony.
The dance performance that blends Chinese culture takes inspiration from the old Shanghai, particularly the elegance of the first-part Shanghai ladies in their Cheongsam attire during the 1920s. This fusion dance serves as a reflection of that era, gracefully transitioning into the modern Cheongsam world. The evolution of Cheongsam fashion thru performance, showcasing different skill levels among the dancers (Beginner to Advance), reflecting the diverse ages and experiences of the ladies in Cheongsam attire.
