It's both funny and heartwarming that Ines and Wiš'adel are rated as 10 together. Also thank you for being one of the content creators not freaking and dooming all over Wiš'adel being strong. That's very appreciated.
I know it’s a lot of extra work, but if there was a google spreadsheet with every operator’s ratings that would be super helpful for new players. Keep up the great work!
I think it also worth noting that some ops will have a unique niche no matter what and thatll be worth calling out. An easy example would be Goldenglow's global range or Lappland's guaranteed silence, which exponentially gain more power depending on the maps and enemies they are deployed on, those niches are worth calling out. If an enemy has subpar RES and a slow attack interval, Vivianna can extremely reliably 1v1 them (The Lost Zhayedan in RA is notable for this). Speaking of RA, i have to shoutout my favorite jerboa, Dorothy really lives up to her event title of Dorothy's VISION for a reason. Her S3 mines can be used to put extremely reliable scouting and remotely deployable range sight for global range ops like GG or Ambriel. Chongyue is also a standout in RA for me, especially since you can design your own stages around him, and he's a beast against the fortress totem bosses. Can an enemy be frozen? If they can, Gnosis will make them easy pickings. Does an enemy unleash an unending barrage of ranged attacks of notable but not extreme physical damage? Lin can stand there filing her nails for as long as you need holding them off with no intervention required on your behalf. Do you want to forget a lane exists? Put Mountain there and activate his S2
Also shout-out to the horniest and most fahionable operator, Gravel, who serves as the ultimate temporary global defender, with the ability to tank many thousands of damage at E1. You might eventually evolve past needing her but even at E1 level 30, mine has 1454 HP, which should make the shield have 2617 HP at skill level 7. She can tank damn near anything for the first several months of a new dokutah's gameplay. Also shout-out to Red and Kafka for providing much temporary relief for early game dokutahs with their stun and sleep. If you don't have Texas alter, which most new docs won't get any time soon, they're some of the best and cheap temporary stallers out there.

I like the ratings and the exclusion of 'too easy' daily content very much, and while I would strongly disagree with the definition of daily vs advanced content, I understand that for the sake of giving your own rating you would have to make an odjective differentiation somewhere. However as a viewer this seems to seperate daily priority players from advanced priority players (at least in the reddit discussions of this post). When in practice everyone who has played arknights for a while has a need for both ratings and has a subjective understanding of what is 'daily' and 'advanced' to them, depending on their roster, skill level, and most importantly, their 'intent'. Simply put, if the stage has them thinking "I want to clear the stage easier" then they want the daily rating(ease, effectiveness, safety, and brute force power). Ex. In an event stage blind run/ last minute clear/following a guide for any reason at all: my Typhon/Goldenglow will be on s2 99% of the time. If they are LOCKED IN and they want to clear the stage PERIOD with no effort or strategy spared, then they want the advanced rating. Ex. If I am repeating a stage or playing any difficulty of IS, I am completely 'locked in', balancing skill cycles, splitboxing redeploys, tight timings, finicky but powerfull skills like Typhon/Goldenglow s3, and a whole lot of planning and positioning before the stage even starts, no effort is spared even if its a compartively easy stage of IS, because it has my full attention and therefore my full capability. Again I completely understand why you need to make an objective disctinction in order to give said rating in the first place, I just hope consideration is given to those (many) docktas who bring their A-game and disregard ease of use to get the rewards of the hardest 'daily content' and need the advanced rating as well for when they face such challenges (such as my 2 alt accounts) and its not just the docktas who go out of their way to challenge or restrict themselves who will need this rating. I've been loving your work, and hope to see more.😊
2:12 chatgpt is also my favorite operator too🤭 Btw is it just me or this coincide with how some reddit user kinda criticize ur rating for upcoming ops on ascalon's rating 6 days ago? Like how some said "ascalon's advanced should be lower since not really unreplacable" "nymph's & ulpian should be 9 on advanced cuz IS" Ak's community really got pampered by tierlist that start with 7 & end with 9 or minimum b/c to max ss/ ex lol. Some comment on reddit is also basically "hurr durr my ray/lumen/ whoever their waifu is, is rated mid so that tierlist is garbo"
Pretty sure he discussed potentially revamping the system months ago in one of his hindsight videos. Plus if ulpianius and nymph are 9 in advanced then wisadel and ines should be 20 bare minimum.
@@R0wlio-z2s exactly, Ines and Wisadel are in their own league when it comes to rating, giving ulpianus and nymph a score so close to them is just unrealistic.
@@R0wlio-z2swhich i think is crazy lol, how tf is AK keep attracting those nutjobs, who keep thinking themselves as "hurr durr im ultra giga chad smart & any tierlist not placing my waifu high is garbo hurr durrr" Ok that aside, those comment about ulpi & nymph being 9 on advanced cuz IS is pure delusional lmao. ulpi on high difficulty is mid before getting some relic, nymph s2 is still countered by crowds & enemies that do ranged attack. Heck those same people says lumen need to be higher cuz s3 is basically afk skill (which is not) or how ray's daily score should be 8 despite how cumbersome her bullet management & capybara targetting (reminder that ray's dmg increase is reset if she change target even once)
These things are always going to be hard to get right to be honest, made even harder with our own biased experiences. I can dispute Jessica Alter's rating with my experience on Defenderknights, being decently cheap, having invis reveal, a shield to use as a summon and anti-air. (Yeah Jessica does feel like Ines for Defenders) Its not anything you would really appreciate in other niches, where this is either replaceable or not needed. It's just unreasonable to expect one person to know this from reading (or discussions), or to actually try every single niche to properly rate this. With that being said, I still enjoy your content and respect your dedication, so even if it isn't perfect, I'm sure no one will mind.
I think she is probably where she belongs. And that's good. For me, the 4,5,6 tier is the fun one. You ironically kind of make his point by admitting you play a niche. She is very important in your niche but people that don't play that niche can use someone else that isn't a defender... Your passive aggressive bitterness is blatant and not very effective when trying to make a point, which you fail to do anyway...
@@aethermax4695 Passive aggressive bitterness is really strong wording but I think what he was getting at is your comment was worded like a compliment but was really an insult. Like "it's ok that you're bad because I understand why you're bad and I still like you in spite of how bad you are." I also agree that DragonGJY pointed out that operators that are easily replaceable or have better options would have their ratings impacted by it which is exactly why niche knights would be irrelevant to this rating system. Like if you created a defender that went on ranged tiles, had long range, did strong (albeit sub meta tier) arts damage, and had crappy defensive stats it doesn't suddenly invalidate the existence of the caster class even if it would be incredibly powerful in a specific niche. Who knows though, maybe DragonGJY will agree with you and upgrade her rating. Now, if it's down to who has more tact between you and Raptchur then I'll give it to you every day of the week. Also, I personally like the context of how Jessica alter as a swiss army knife is a bit underrated by the community. I kind of suspected that might be the case but don't have much personal experience using her. I just think that it was already identified in the video why she would reflect a lower rating based on how his system works.
I know nicheknights and low op are pretty popular self-challenges, but putting them aside since they're somewhat extrinsic. Given CC seems to be retired again, it seems to me that the only "advanced" content prescribed by the game is high difficulty IS. And here one of the most important aspects of an operator is what class they're on. The guides on Ela or Ascalon felt hard for me to relate to because these units are competing with Texas, Yato, Gladia, Ethan; but the guides measure Ela up against snipers, and don't really talk about Ascalon being in direct competition with the FDRs at all. There's also not much talk about relic synergy. Given IS is the only non self-limiting remaining "advanced content" it seems odd to not talk about the IS-specific stuff.
Always love the content and notice the care and effort you put into it! I just don’t think many people are going to watch this and really care and/ or reference this video in the future when you give your rankings. You could have this video for yourself behind the scenes and saved yourself the effort of all the nice graphics and slides for the video. The people who care already love your videos and understand a 1-10 ranking scale relatively intuitively and are aided by the examples and explanations you provide accompanying the video - making this rubric relatively unnecessary. I’m not trying to hate on this nice and considerate video. I just think your high quality effort should be spent elsewhere making more content that is easily consumable or furthering the quality of your wonderful Operator Hindsights rather than an updated rating guide. There is only so much time, and I’d rather see you spend your energy elsewhere besides videos like this which I cannot imagine will do well. I always look forward to your videos and your well constructed opinions. Thanks!
Yeah, I think half of this video is done for myself. Keeping a unified standard for rating is difficult as time goes by, and this video helps to keep me in track as much as possible. Though a video may not be that necessary and I can just make the changes and keep it to myself, I just want to take that extra step so that I feel I did what I'm responsible for. It kinda is the perfectionist in me :).
there is no CCB3 because of walter red, i'm 100% sure it's because of that Like you would have to pull out the "pinch out" kind of risk tags to have her not solo max risks
How does the mode-specific mod comes into play in the scoring? Someone like Phantom will have very different evaluation in IS and other mode like CC, for instance.
Ngl, i wish HG cater to hardcore content more. Like come on, easier daily stage is fine & all for attracting newbies, BUT how about the content for all ur loyal hardcore playerbases that will most likely whaling compared to some newbies? Add Contingency contract, make IS easier on low ascension but much much harder A15, RA being much more difficult as days pass while bringing much more boss Also Unpopular opinion but DOS is good too. Maybe retain the difficulty but just for DOS, make it possible to bring 5 support operator. That way, newbies can still enjoy DOS, figuring out how to beat those stages with 5 support
I'll be honest, I hate the names and definitions for your ratings. So daily rating = literally all content in the game and advanced content = pointless self inflicted challenges or higher difficulties in some content that give you absolutely nothing other than trying to showoff. Idk why anyone would even use or look at advanced content rating, if you are doing those types of content then you will read the kits and test the units yourself already, can't imagine them watching a video rating on the operator at that point. As for daily rating, why not just name it all content rating or just simply rating, because that's what it really is. When I hear daily content what I imagine is farm stages and super simple 0 thoughts required stages where you just deploy w/e units usually with afk skills and win, not much to it. I would not put cc 620, IS difficulty 10 or EX/H stages, especially later ones, in that category. Hell, even latest main chapters wouldn't be considered daily easy content. So again, maybe it's just me but I really struggle with the point of those ratings and their names. I feel like a lot of ppl will get baited too because I can't imagine all of them realizing what you mean by daily content and advanced ratings when they watch future operator review videos. When they see the names they will probably assume what I assumed, daily being ez no brain content and advanced being actual harder content that needs strategy.
Yea his powerlisting are heavily based on general content, if you look for niches then best for it was just play the level yourself and encounter the situation of "lower rated ops suddenly becomes irreplaceable due to niche" moment by urself (which is his target of audience [no brainer] just dont play those levels anyway), yea his argument on "healthy" environment kinda gray that it only spoils no brainer, but overshadowed those who actually played the game for a long time and use whatever they wanted without getting badmouthed by those spoiled no brainer

Like you would have to pull out the "pinch out" kind of risk tags to have her not solo max risks
How does the mode-specific mod comes into play in the scoring? Someone like Phantom will have very different evaluation in IS and other mode like CC, for instance.
Will you create a list in which you re--rate the already rated operators based on the new criteria?
nah bro u'r a legend
thx as always for the video
Good, thanks dragon
Ngl, i wish HG cater to hardcore content more. Like come on, easier daily stage is fine & all for attracting newbies, BUT how about the content for all ur loyal hardcore playerbases that will most likely whaling compared to some newbies?
Add Contingency contract, make IS easier on low ascension but much much harder A15, RA being much more difficult as days pass while bringing much more boss
Also Unpopular opinion but DOS is good too. Maybe retain the difficulty but just for DOS, make it possible to bring 5 support operator. That way, newbies can still enjoy DOS, figuring out how to beat those stages with 5 support
So will Manticore be 7~8?
It's slow is promising
From Manticore fans
at this point, it will gonna be Wisadelknight / "just Wisadel it"
I quit the game for about a year looking to come back do you have a good time for returning users?
wisadel and logos come on 31st so as soon as possible
now
Right now is a very good time to return
Yeah the sooner the better in case you need to save up for Wis'adel and Logos banner.
Hi, i want to ask. Does Ejyalter Elemental reduction multiplier on S3, stack with Mulberry S2?
Those 2 Black Blues op are actually my favorite in terms of looks but damn the performance is really disappointing..
Before this video, I thought
Daily content is normal stages
Advanced content is EX, S, H stages, CC 620
Context: I'm a year in and I play IS4 on D2 💀
Pretty epic of you
Do you have a Operator Hindsights to Ines?
pre-amnesia doctorGJY
even on cn it seems to be getting easier?
I really hope things don't reach a point where I think the game is too easy
God himself posts once again
me and my deers sitting in 3 and lower 😎
Advanced rating 4,5,6 can become 7,8,9 😅 this will Confusing for new Player i thing you need to make alot of explanation in rating 🤔
"Wisadel and Logos are fine" Yeah, I don't know about this one, chief
A comment for the algorithm
This guy just cooked the most objective algorithm for operators and still humbled himself to say it's subjective for each person
Wis'adel it's a Anomali Operator...
oh draGOATgjy
the devastating effect that cockroache has induced to the game
cockroache are always a mistake
