A disposable syringe works well for distributing epoxy. I use a 10ml syringe with a Luer slip tip. You need to make sure to keep the tip submerged when you are drawing it up to avoid air bubbles, but works great for dispensing precisely and avoiding drips.
That works for a lot of projects but sometimes the plunger is not ideal. A simple Dixie cup(small paper cup) is great, fold a small spout and control the flow as you like.

Little tip for next time! We use two part adhesives at my work all the time. We empty the mixture into a small plastic bag (about a dimebag size). Then we cut a small hole at the end. This dispenses the epoxy like frosting on a cake and gives you great control over the amount and location.

Simply wow. Your expertise with casting techniques shouldn't overshadow your eye for aesthetics, nor the discerning mind for choosing interesting and beautiful subjects. Major plaudits to you on these accounts, sir.

Loved the resin idea! Not sure what plans and ideas you have but look forward to seeing them. The frowny face cardboard getting throwing stars was a hoot lol
WOW! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THOSE STARS!!!!!! They came out SOOOOO CLEAN and NEAT!!! You have your processes down pat! And the way the epoxy filled up the small area and made it shiny just looked so sweet with the polish reflecting the light..... and how you kept the edges a bit rough but all in the same direction..... just WOW! I'm not pullin your leg or anything, you just have such great attention to detail. I am SERIOUSLY impressed! :) And they are like the 'grown up' version of those glow-in-the-dark stars we all had as kids that we stuck on our bedroom ceiling.... these just stick to the ceiling is a different way lol I hope to see more epoxy projects like you mentioned. If I may, I had an idea one day a while ago. I was watching some wood working videos and I see the trend of people making tables out of a 'slice' of a tree, but the cut it in half and then put the two 'outside' edges (i think they say 'live edges') together with a gap and then fill that gap with epoxy to make make it look like a river running along the length of the table... (I'm not sure if you know what I mean just by this short description, but I am SURE you will find a bunch of videos of people doing this if you just search youtube for 'epoxy table top' or 'epoxy river table top' - that way you'll see just how beautiful this can be).... well now on to my idea.... instead of wood it could be two metal pieces..... but not huge dining table, maybe a small lamp table... you could make it the end goal of teaching yourself the techniques you would need, and you could document your process of learning the epoxy ins and outs (it's easy to do, but it's takes PRACTICE to make it AMAZING) and maybe you could imitate the wood with metal with the knowledge you've learned so far..... Now I'm not trying to sell you on my idea (although I would NEVER get to make this, I don't have the knowledge NOR the tools to do it) I just wanted to give you some inspiration. when you asked your audience about wanting to see more with the epoxy it dawned on me that you would be th eperfect person to actually do this metal table thing-a-ma-jig.... and so I figured it couldn't hurt to tell you (and everyone else on youtube lol) about it... maybe you'll you find some inspiration in it, maybe you have an aversion to epoxy rivers and metal tress 🤷♂lol I just love the idea of inspiring someone to create something just by telling them an idea I have. And there's no pressure... you don't have to leave a comment to this or think about this at all. But maybe I planted the seed that one day grows into your Magnum Opus and you become a world famous sculpture because of something I inspired you to create... And you don't even remember this convo... THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME!!! Anyway... I really LOVE those stars!!! (I used to have a throwing star... but someone stole it from me... I hate people sometimes lol) I just cannot wait to see what you come up with next!!! THANK YOU for the vid! :D
If there is a red version of the glow powder, I could see this being an amazing accent to one of the Mayan style statues you made a while back. Imagine the eyes glowing long after the lights are out. Maybe also use different colors as highlights for certain parts. Man that would look cool.
I don't think it exists. This glow powder is not "coloured" in any way. It's the chemistry in the isotopes that make it emit green light. A different colour would require a totally different material, and I have never heard of this existing. I think green is inherent to the nature of why it glows. Mind you, this is totally different chemistry from glowsticks, which of course does comes in all colours. But glowsticks emit their own light, and when depleted they cannot be recharged with UV light.
There's something so cool about death stars. I'd be really interested to see you get more creative with this idea and try different shapes out, see how they fly / stick. Super cool video. Loved that. Subbed :)
It would be cool to see a video of you making some type of sword or dagger and incorporating the glow resin into it. I really enjoyed watching you make the stars and they came out super nice. It was an exceptionally satisfying video to watch.
A beautiful video! I am always impressed by the quality of your work and your dedication to making stunning pieces. I personally love seeing the combination of epoxy and casting and cant wait to see what you come up with next time. Best regards!
I recently saw a video of a guy using lost PLA to cast a gundam model kit in brass. There are probably some aircraft kits that would work with too, and might make a neat project. He was able to use the built in snap/friction binding mechanisms for the gundam but I imagine aircraft kits would require some brazing. those throwing stars are super cool btw, I 100% agree that the epoxy really meshes well with that color of metal
1 cool thing you can try is like a small daggers with maybe red or orange glow in the dark powder. You could have a cool design so it looks like molten lava
How about making a Katana sword and have a blood line or Hamon line using that resin and glow-in-the-dark powder. Just a suggestion that I think would be cool.
Ok, stealth they are not, and you'd have to carry them in a pouch that has an uv light inside it, BUT, glow in the dark could come in handy if you need to recover them (for stealth reasons), in a pitch black room! Plus they'll look really cool laying on your bookshelf or headboard at night... Very nice! 👍🏻
Make a sunwheel. Make a round piece of art that goes on a wall. I really like how your work turned out. Im still of the opinion that if it fits into a fluid 3d printer the vacuum casting in plaster is the way to go. Veg oil guy had casted actual rubies into a ring is what surprised me. Maybe making an actual steam engine, of casting a cylinder, of doing a big flywheel (but that needs megal working machines. Greetings, Jeff

Something that just occurred to me halfway through the video - not sure how much use you’d have for it but you could’ve designed these to do the original job that shuriken were made for; nail removal. You’d use the points to dig wood out from around the head of the nail and then the central hole would be hooked around the nail head and you’d use one point to lever the nail out.
Honestly not the worst idea for a shuriken, since they were traditionally tools of surprise and distraction rather than full weapons, could see using them to grab someone's attention at night.

Absolutely. I use epoxy a lot at work, and that's exactly what we do.
I had the same thought as well.
my first thoughts was a syringe or turkey baster type instrument as well.
That works for a lot of projects but sometimes the plunger is not ideal. A simple Dixie cup(small paper cup) is great, fold a small spout and control the flow as you like.

Perfect for the cyberpunk ninja in your life that has everything.
I've gotta say, I think they look great even in regular light. The glow powder resin looks like it set beautifully.

Nordic runes made from Nordic gold with glow powder would look absolutely amazing

This video is very relaxing, especially with the calming, not over the top background music. Its like an unintentional ASMR.
I thought the same thing! His voice isn't rash or abrasive and thank the stars, not AI either!
Great casts, they polished up really well. The glow in the dark is a nice touch.
Funny, guy with the last name ending with ski talking about Polishing teehee 🤣

Cool, makes me think of TMNT. I'd imagine them using them because they glow in the dark like the radioactive ooze.
also, just easier to find, underground
Simply wow.

They look great. I never knew I needed glow in the dark ninja stars until I watched this. 👍👍
The glow powder adds a cool touch to the stars. Real satisfying to see them thrown in the dark. Nice vid!

Excellent, excellent, excellent video!!!!
Anything glow-in-the-dark has fascinated me since I was a kid.
Great job!

Ten thumbs up for that fascinating story, which was a perfect accompaniment to my coffee ☕
Your casting skills are truly something.
I'm still on the 'amorphous blob' stage.
Those are so nice and the glow in the dark addition is just sick lol
Your clickspring references are on point. Even caught the rhythm of the tapping.
I usually mute these types of vids but your narrative complements this video.
Wow! That was a clean cast!!! Very nice.
Mmmmmm perfect the ratio of glow powder to resin taste juuuuuust right
Loved the resin idea! Not sure what plans and ideas you have but look forward to seeing them. The frowny face cardboard getting throwing stars was a hoot lol
Your way of working compared to big stack is very professional and clean but both are very experienced and are a joy to watch
Watching your painting process coupled with the colors soothes mind, works like meditation.
Absolutely, I love how they look and can't wait for more ideas.
I don't think those could've been any better to be honest, awesome job. I would love to see more projects involving resin/glow powder.
👍
For a moment there I thought you weren't gonna show us you throwing them in the dark. 😅😅
I'm very glad you did.

I really love the glowing effect. With that being resin I wonder how it'll work for RPG dice.
Those things look awesome, good job!
They aren't useless, _these_ are the kind of glow stars a ninja would want on their bedroom ceiling :D also useful in emergencies!
the unique creativity and production value of this channel continues to grow. Keep it up!
really cool video. Nice design on the stars too. The glowing resin also adds a really nice flare/ touch to the whole design.

Look for europium salts. They all fluoresce red but they're expensive.
Perhaps layering the green and then a layer of red tinted epoxy..., no wait, that would make purple. Maybe not such a bad idea?
when i got my first 3d printer almost 12 years ago, ninja stars were one of the first things i made on it
Such nice detailed castings. And the glow in the dark resin added a distinctly new dimension. Keep up the good work!
this is sick
Awesome video. Loved the incorporation of epoxy and glow powder and can't wait to see more! Your videos only get better!
Those things are amazing! Great job!
The glow isn’t my thing, but ok. Class, your workmanship is great. Makes me smile.

It's giving "Uranium Ninja" vibes, I like it.
You put your time and effort on making this plus your patience is really well, take all the time you need I’ll be waiting for the next one
Another great casting!
It would be cool to see a video of you making some type of sword or dagger and incorporating the glow resin into it. I really enjoyed watching you make the stars and they came out super nice. It was an exceptionally satisfying video to watch.
You remind me of classic The King Of Random, and I love it

Man, I love this channel. 👍🏻
Eagerly waiting for the next project.
Man, those are cool! They look like something the green Power Ranger would use!
Very cool!! Never seen anything like that!
Excellent casting.
Would be interested in seeing the process for reusing the burnt sand. Great project, very satisfying to watch!
Yes please! Do some more epoxy resin
I use siringes with different size tips for paint, clear and epoxy. Helps keep things clean and get in tight areas.
That is incredible.
You should try using syringes for applying epoxy like that, in the future. I bet you'd love it.
Sold! I'll take a set. 😂 Great job and the glowing resin was a very cool touch!
Amazing! Wonderful job!
Excellent result.
Another very cool build!
Those are beautiful!!

15 year old master ninja me from the mid eighties totally approves!
You Need to SELL These! I love how they look normal in daylight, but glow a ghostly green in the dark!!

yes please, more projects with resin! :-D
Absolutely gorgeous! 🤓
Very cool. Definitely make other cast items with the glow powder.
👍🙂👍
awesome
These are SO cool!!
Thank you so much for this video!!!🤗🤗🤗
It looks sick good job I think you should use different glow in the dark powder

These are awesome!
I would love a set of those
Nice work!
Yes, more please!

Honestly I think it would look very well as an axe, like the resin just behind the sharp bit
Amazing
I’ve been watching your videos for a while and am looking to make a furnace based on your design, what size crucible do you use for your melts?
That was amazing. 🙂
that's freaking sweeeet dude
whatever you wanna make is what i wanna see!
WOW that’s awesome
Awesome work. Have your thought about getting a resin 3D printer?
Love these.
Honestly not the worst idea for a shuriken, since they were traditionally tools of surprise and distraction rather than full weapons, could see using them to grab someone's attention at night.
So good!
