Okay. Just realized Tātou is wrong. I am wrong😆 I am thinking Mātou v Tātou and that's still wrong because we are praying TO God, He is not included in the ones praying. My bad. Still learning.
This waiata was written & composed by 3 ladies, Nancy Rangiaho (Tuhoe) Ani Takirau (Tuhoe) & Anne Herewini (Waikato) all 3 belonged to Te Rongopai Assembly in Waiuku, it was written in 1984 & the original recording was done in Whakatane at a radio station in 1984. I have the original recording of that time on cassette tape. One of the ladies was my mum, all 3 have passed now, over the years the lyrics to this song have changed a little bit through the passing of so many hands, it was nice to stumble across your video👍💯🤗
Hi
couple of incorrect words in there
Matau e huihui nei
Koia te huarahi te pono te oranga
I feel matau or tātou is not a problem - the two of us as opposed to ALL of us. Usually the ones singing are a group eh ? So then Tātou.
