Quality not really, power yeah. Just got my hands on a 2500 and I'm sending it back. It makes a TON of power, but it's extremely dirty, it's not punchy when needed (kick drum), nor smooth (bass guitar). It is also very unpredictable as it doesn't throw bass when it should. Just got me a Rockford Fosgate T1500 and it sounds way better, a bit less power, but way cleaner and more accurate.
@@analogaudiorules1724 I just think he's just a idiot and hatin' on Orion. This company has gotten mad props from even the biggest car audio enthusiasts out there. Fuck what he says
@@analogaudiorules1724 Exactly bro!!!!! This may not be the most efficient amplifier but dirty? No!!!!! If you have the electrical to support it, and it does need a decent electrical because it is not the most efficient, this is definitely just as clean, punchy, and smooth as Rockford fosgate. I've dealt with both. The advantage is that Rockford is a bit more efficient because of a better power supply. For the money though Orion is a beast and extremely well built!!!! Do yourself a favor, use high quality rca cable and 1/0 OFC power and ground. Do the BIG 3. You won't be disappointed.
I have one and im really impressed with it.. it works well @ pushin my 3-xtr 122d's and doesn't run hot & has never overheated on me and I live in the arizona desert..
Brandon Ramlal it performs well. I can't compare to the d model because I didn't ever have it. My birth sheet did come in at 2988 where as most of the d series where around 2500-2700ish.
They’re beastly underrated amps my birth sheet was 1741@12.6 and put out 2200 watts dynamic RMS at 14.4v can’t beat the bang for the buck. Very solidly built with nice Tiffany style RCA jacks. One thing I wish was different is the subsonic filter either being on (25hz iirc) or off no adjustability which can be an an issue for ported box’s if you’re tuned at over 32hz or so. It works out great in my use case though as my 12” DC Audio XL Elite is tuned @ 26hz (I love me some low lows).
seriously i have to know. I imagine its around 12-1300. I also noticed pictures of the 1000.1 that have 2x40amp fuses but also pictures showing 4x30amp fuses. The 2x40amp fuse must be an older model. It would concern me because at $200 it would just barely be making 1000 watts.
Back in the 90's I ran PPI we sold that and ORION at the shop I worked at. My friend who also work there ran XTR Orion. I'm currently putting together another system. ORION XTR it is..

@@rhurtadorh32im just not that impressed by their prices for what is off the shelf Chinese boards and components. For example, rp800.1that does just over 800w but they want $160. rmblwgn pioneer are only good in car radios. Amps i dont like how they look and also there prices on amps are high as well. Even pioneers speakers suck there subs suck too. They dont make any good subs anymore. In the other hand skar amps subs and speakers are really good. Best bang for the buck and pioneer cant beat them at that.
Where the hell did you hear that bullshit? My rp2000 clamps over 2400 at 40hz and I'm backed off below clipping a good bit. I have 100ah of Chinese lithium and 300 amp alt. It was around 13.6volts . Thats a good thing.
For music listening, which mode is most important? Certified or dynamic? I heard some say certified only should be looked at and some say dynamic only
dynamic is for listening to music, on a test it pulses like how bass hits on music
dynamic is more like a real world situation with real music.the certified and uncertified tests are a 40 hz test track thats a real strain on the amp
I just wanna know what it does at 2 ohm because i want to buy one while they are on sale
Drop Zone Media I have one and it says 975 rated at 2 ohms
do you guys have an xtr 1000.1d version also ??!
