Hearts of Love at Christmas time for Alienated Children in Ireland - Avenue of Light Virgina, Cavan

Christmas time is one of the happiest times of the year for so many but for many children and parents who are unjustifiably alienated it is a very sad time too. Many Children do not see their other Parent who loves them because of the other Parent's alienating behaviors where they obstruct the Child from seeing their non-resident Mum or Dad. Some alienated children do not even receive their Christmas present from their other parent - they can be dumped in the bin - given away or sent back. This little project is to show that the Children are in their mum's, dad's and grandparents' hearts and someday with the hope that they will reunite.
Parental Alienation has been described by the Present Irish Minister of Justice Helen McEntee as “a situation when a child’s resistance or hostility towards one parent is not justified and is the result of psychological manipulation by the other parent.” Previously no Irish Minister even acknowledged that Parental Alienation even existed yet the problems caused by its existance continue climbing. Lifelong trauma for alienated children (and parents) is well known and researched yet no legislation or social services are in place to address this awful form of child abuse & coercive control. Alienated Children First are a parent's led NGO who hope to change this and influence Ireland to intervene and stop parental alienation through legislation, effective services, education and awareness.
