I like your backdrop, especially how you've blended the foreground into the background (I realize you have much scenery to do, so it will get even better).
Amen to your observation about when to install backdrops! Climbing over track, etc., to install the backdrops is a losing proposition. Fortunately for me, I had good advice and installed my backdrops before laying track. (Obviously, I had a good plan, so I knew what the backdrop needed to be to be consistent with the plan.) Merry Christmas!
So great to follow your progress!! Makes me wanna do something about my own older LGB layout downstairs. Bigger scales just give that hefty feeling smaller scales can't.
These backdrops look great! That’s why I use yours though I’m definitely not as skilled at hiding those seams as you are!! I’m liking the layout and o scale is just awesome if you’ve got the space.
Its great to see you building another layout I am wondering if your dumper will work in HO I have an idea for a small switching layout in HO and the transfer table and dumper will be part of it
Nice job! I really like the mountain backdrop. My layout is O Scale too, 2ft deep. I've been looking at the Hickory Hollow series and others on your web. I'm trying to find a backdrop that gives you that N&W steep mountain right to the track feel like around North Fork WV.
If I didn't see the backdrop from a sharp angle, I would swear that feed mill was a 3D building. Happy belated Birthday to Doreen! If the Strasburg Theatre Company does "The Wizard of Oz" show them Doreen walking in your boots...she'll win the part of the Tin Man.
Joey - I just ordered the O-scale Doe Valley backdrop from you, got it up and it looks great - appreciate it. Also... I have some MTH scale wheelsets. I'll trade you them straight up if I can have the pickup rollers off of that WM unit (assuming it is an MTH and not an Atlas). Steve
Steve, send me an email to our trackside email address. I don't want to post the email here as there might be those bots that send junk mail. They are MTH, I don't have any Atlas.
That's why we have several different backdrop series'. The Hickory Hollow and Valley Flats series have a different look from the order series. Same basic image elements, but a different look with the skies. You can find them on our website www.tracksidescenery.com
THANK YOU FOR DETAIL VIDEO AS ALL GREAT DETAIL VERY TELL
Absolutely great job on the backdrops Joey !!!!!
Your being is so good, it looks real ! To see your train going down the track with the backdrop background makes a huge difference. Good Job !!!
I meant backdrop is so good!
Great backdrop, looks really good👍👍👍
Coming along really great. 👍

Backdrop looks great!
Backdrops look fantastic. Well done. Cheers Peter.
Spectacular backdrops. You're going to have a layout that is going to be very nice. That rotary dumper is looking good.
Lookin' good!
Man, your backdrop makes the layout come alive! Nice shout-out to Ryan (sorry to hear about his wheels).

Awesome backdrop. You need to make it a new Valley Flats series.
You of all know that I have that in mind for a new series. Just for variety, yet they share the same or similar image elements.

Hi Tom, most of the Hickory Hollow Series (image elements) I shot in WV. From up near Elkins down through Williamson.

What height off the floor is the layout? I like how it’s higher up
Rail head is about 51" from the floor
I like the back drop but for me I think the sky is too bright.
