Hi Jenny. I truly love you and your tutorials. I've been watching them with my 2 year old since he was an infant. He loves you too. He always makes me put in your videos while he is at Chemo. This is his favorite video/quilt. You make him so happy. I wish we could buy your quilts. He wants one for chemo days. I hope he gets to quilt one day.. Please don't stop making videos. You make my little boys heart full. (Most kids learn shapes from books, he learns from a quilt coming together)
My sister was coming back to the UK for a visit. I was able to find this Tim Holtz layer cake for sale at Amazon USA so bought and had sent to sis in Dallas she carried it over for me. Made the quilt it looks amazing. I have learned so much from watching you.Right now I am making Disappearing Hourglass Crazy Eight.
Oh my Jenny! I LOVE this design!! I am behind on my quilts for family. As the only Aunt, I have made baby/wedding quilts as each event occurs! (10 ni/ne & 6 G-ni/ne) I have 2 boys and one girl left to make for and one wedding and one new baby in 2018. Looking at the versatility of this quilt with color combos my mind is going 90 mph...if I could just get my body up to that speed! God bless you & all who are dear to you in 2018. Auntie Angel*
Working on it now with all left over pieces. This is my scrappy quilt. If I luv it I will make many more. Maybe some in smaller scale for kids in wheelchairs. There a re several pattern t o be taken away from this. I love tthe challenge. Thanks again Jenny!!!!
I had to laugh at Jenny's safety warning! I cannot remember any quilt I have made where I could say "No fingers were harmed in the making of this quilt!" I am not the handiest of sewers where straight pins are involved! Thanks for ending 2017 with such a great project! I think you saved the best for the last!
Jenny, I was wondering if you've ever made a pinwheel surprise quilt? If so, could you do a tutorial? I watch all of your tutorials....I have learned so much by watching you! Thank you
This is one of my favourite tutorials ever! I have been wondering what quilt to make next and I couldn’t decide on a particular block. It is so cool you can make so many different blocks from one basic block and fit them all in one quilt so beautifully! I also love that the basic block isn’t too small so a large quilt like that one won’t take too long to make. Thank you! 🌸💕
Me too! I've been watching tutorials and looking at patterns a d they've just been...meh. But this one looks great. My o lying problem is I want the exact fabrics she's using or I don't want to do it. LOL
I've learned some amazing quilt tips and techniques in each videos I have watched. I love Block Magazine. Jenny thank you so much for taking your time to teach us all quilting.
A lovely quilt Jenny - I do love the Blue and White version. (I'm a "blue person"). I've just purchased digital copies of your last three BLOCK magazines. Thankyou - they're wonderful (and no ads). I wait patiently for each Saturday morning to see your latest RUclips posting. Wishing you and your team a Happy New Year.
I love this! I'll admit I hadn't noticed these were in there until the 3rd or 4th issue the year, but after I found it, it became my favorite part, like a secret block of the month. I love a HST pattern. I love that this uses 2 full layer cakes, no waste! I love the final quilt, it comes together so beautifully. Please do another one next year, it was such a treat to look forward to with each issue.
Any pattern that uses her "Easy Eight" HST can be made with charm squares! Four charm packs yield the same size and the same number of HST as the layer cake. (Plus the four charm packs of white!)
That does look like a fun quilt to make. The solid color one looks nice, but I prefer the other one. Will have to add this to my "must make" list. Thanks for showing this Jenny!
I love this one! I'm usually not a brown fan but I love the colors of this one even more than the blue. It's definitely on my to do list now and batiks would be gorgeous for this ! Happy New Year!
I love you Jenny your a amazing lady I’m always making your quilts you explain everything so easily,I must say I’m watching for each new quilt and there not coming out quick enough for me 😘I’m from Australia I also shop at your shop happy new year 😘
I have been wanting to do an Amish quilt in all solid jewel tones with a black background. I was considering the disappearing hourglass, but now I think the courtship quilt is going to be the one. I've always wanted one, but I can already tell that it's going to end up being a gift for my mother and father. :-) I look forward to your videos every week. You are welcome friend in my house.
Jeffrey, the idea of black background and solid jewel tones will make a stunning quilt. Please come back to Jenny's site and post a photo when you've made the quilt.
It may be a while, LOL! I have a Dresen Plate on deck, and two tee shirt comissions to full, LOL! I'll post it though! (And, I still intend to do the Disappearing Hourglass, as well!)
OMG Jenny, You have done it now and it couldn't have been at a better time. This is on my to do list for a Christmas gift next year. Thank you to your and your team at MSQC.
I just love this fabric. Just got finished making your “You’ve got mail” quilt with it (the same fabric you used in the tutorial for that one) for my son. I cal it “guy” fabric.
Thanks a lot Jenny!! Now there is one more quilt added to my to do list....lol. I think this one will finally be for me though. (like that will ever happen)
I didn't think I was interested in this one, but since I can never NOT watch your episodes, I realized it was the color. I'm not at all a brown fan, but that blue was a whole different story! Beautiful as always!
Wish the fabric requirements had been in the first installment so I could have bought all fabric before beginning. Design is beautiful and the story was sweet.
I also have some very pretty fabric I bought at the Brisbane Quilt Show that I would love to use. Such an easy quilt from just cutting one way, which can be changed to make many different blocks.
At first glance I didn't think this was a great quilt ... BUT ... using the Tim Holtz fabric and those simple HSTs will give you a great "guy" quilt. I can see my nephew loving this ... good size, too.
Linda, I know what you mean. Guy quilts are tough sometimes. I just did one for a nephew for college grad gift. It was mens flannel shirting, offwhite background and I did a HST in the around the world layout. The Border was light weight demin, (prewashed 3 times to get rid of the fading). It turned out great, and I can see where this Tim H. would be great too.

The blue quilt is AMAZING!!
Fanyastic Quilt! I don't usually like numbers etc on fabric but this line is just gorgeous! Thanks Jenny

That one on your wall is just perfect for the men in our lives ! It is just GEORGEOUS!! I wouldn't mind sleeping under it either ! ♥️😁
Working on it now with all left over pieces. This is my scrappy quilt. If I luv it I will make many more. Maybe some in smaller scale for kids in wheelchairs. There a re several pattern t o be taken away from this. I love tthe challenge. Thanks again Jenny!!!!
Just love your tutorials! You make it so enjoyable to learn and quilt.
I didn't realize there was Tim Holtz fabric! Love that fabric line and the quilt is fabulous!! Thanks so much for this video!

I used a Kaffe Fasset layercake for this pattern and it is Gorgeous!
Boy, you could whip that up so quickly. Pretty design! I would like it in bright colors! I might need to use my layer cake and make this one!

I’m going to make this for myself! 😂 Without the pinwheels, just filling in the chevron, and out of batiks
I've learned some amazing quilt tips and techniques in each videos I have watched. I love Block Magazine. Jenny thank you so much for taking your time to teach us all quilting.

I got charm squares for Christmas and I think I might improvise and try this pattern. I love it it is so cute and simple but yet so attractive.

Betty Manoulian thank you! I will definitely try 🙂
Thanks a lot Jenny!! Now there is one more quilt added to my to do list....lol. I think this one will finally be for me though. (like that will ever happen)

I have to agree- that blue/teals caught my eye for a child's quilt!
Simply changing the fabric really changes the look to the whole pattern! That is definitely one of my favorite parts about quilting!
I dont like browns but this intrigued me and so i think maybe purples will be beautiful!
Wow that blue pack! Please tell us the name of that blue and white layer cake pack?
I don't like blues.
wow, this has to be the pattern of the year....I hope to muster the courage to tackle it....Happy 2018.

Wonder what Stonehenge would look like?? Stonehenge and Batiks are my VERY favorite fabric. I don't care for any kind with flowers... a real turn off.
So much fun! Love it!!!
Absolutely beautiful! I'm definitely going to tackle this one!
At first glance I didn't think this was a great quilt ... BUT ... using the Tim Holtz fabric and those simple HSTs will give you a great "guy" quilt. I can see my nephew loving this ... good size, too.

Loved it! And so easy! This coming year I have so many projects in mind!!
