The Pentagon also uses the very lawyerly modifier, "verifiable."
That weasel word is subjective, as there are degrees of verifiability.
The qualifier renders the Pentagon statement meaningless.
The other issue with the Pentagon statement is that it says AARO (not the Department of Defense, as a whole) has no "verifiable" evidence of "extraterrestrial" intelligence.
AARO, the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, only has Title 10 authorities, whereas Grusch has or had Title 50 authorities, giving him the highest security clearances in the Federal government.
He had been read into more than 2,000 special-access programs.

I had thought of that. You can attach a FLIR/120FPS camera to a neural network and train it to recognize the unusual. Anything not unusual would not give the signal. Anything unusual would give the signal and start recording. The technology to do this is off the shelf and could be put on a git hub for everyone to download and set up. One of the things the UAP task force wanted citizens to do is report what we see in the skies. I think the reason this was announced was because the US government now realizes that attack by drone is a real possibility (after observing the conflict in Ukraine and how cheap it is to use drones for war). So they want us looking up and reporting anything strange. Citizens become their advanced radar in this way and almost FREE.
This subject is beyond the governments knowledge. Only special military personnel know the truth and it won’t be coming out to the politicians and the public.
