    Thank you !!!
    do you know - up to how far it can warm you ?

      Thanks. I've tried it until now with same conditions as in this video... Like -4C to -1C while hiking is ok, but ventilating was necessary. It has windproof outside so it's beneficial to keep the warmth that you've generated... So it depends on activity. Not moving with it for short period of time I can only guess that would work with similar temperatures, but haven't tried it colder yet. I've climbed with it - on windy cold day is a must...

    Thanks for the video. Handled most all my questions about this jacket. what size were you wearing and what is your height and weight?

    • @funkylosik
      @funkylosik  5 лет назад

      It is size Europe/USA - M.
      My height is 182 cm (6′ 2.4″). Weight 72 kg (158 lbs).
      But the main problem I always have with the jackets or pants, is that they are too short for my slim body and long arms. And usually the jackets are too short for me. Not this one, though.
      If you measure the jacket's arm length (bottom), it's 60 cm (23.6 inches) and it finally suits me well.

    I purchased this same model but is not even close so puffy. After the first wash, mine is about half the volume of this one. How is that possible

    • @funkylosik
      @funkylosik  Месяц назад

      after all those years mine is also not that puffy anymore. Although i must say that I've did the mistake of washing it with full spin speed resulting it in complete disaster. However, after putting it into the dryer for an hour it fixed itself. That said, i hope you know how to wash down jackets: special down detergent, NO spin cycle (basically hand wash mode of washing machine). Afterwards you take the wet lump and put it outside on the drying rack until it is not damp anymore. Then dryer with no super high heat with cotton balls to puff it up and heat activates the DWR coating... if DWR washed out, reapply it with spray + rub with cloth, before putting into the dryer.

      maybe compare the fill power 800 and weight that i've measured 330g with yours?

    Hello, do you recommend this jacket? Are you still satisifed with the quality? Or we can buy something better for this 24-250 euro price. Thank you

      Hi. I'm torn whether to recommend it or not. I find it that I don't wear it when I'll know I'll be taking it off on public and underneath is a sticky fabric: base layer, cotton shirt, black sweater, polyester... Because of the leaking down. Everytime you take it off, they fly around you and stuck on your outfit. That said, I like how warm and compact it is. Today was windy 27 km/h and 7 degrees C, I took it with a white smooth shirt, and felt warm and cozy. The direct wind didn't bother me, the hood is a must have for such conditions, my ears were fine. Took it off at the restaurant at the end, without too much down to be noticed. The cold season just starts, I only had it for 1 year, let's see how it performs this year, but looking good so far. It was the only one that fit my slim and long body that I could find. For example, Odlo was too short at hands and too high on waist. So I'd recommend finding one that fits good. And if some down leaking doesn't bother you, go for it.

    I guess this is kinda 8-10 cm tall to the down at hips. You know what I mean. Hem should have ended a bit upper than it. Yeah? I dont like that design. Great outfit though.

    • @funkylosik
      @funkylosik  3 года назад

      Not sure what you mean, but it covers the back and front from the wind pretty good. I wouldn't want it any shorter, maybe a bit longer would be a nice to have. It ends about 20 cm from the waist down.

      @@funkylosik I read yours is M size. Right? What I am trying to say is e.g. Columbia gives option to users to choose if they want it to be tall or big in the same size after L,XL and XXL. There is not that option at S and M sizes. They are short to the waist from the fabrication. On the other hand North Face 800 fill down jackets are also short version when I compare it to yours. But Mammut Broad Peak Down Jacket is tall from the fabrication. Do you now understand what I mean?

    • @funkylosik
      @funkylosik  3 года назад

      @@mattinn yes. I guess you prefer the short version, and I like the tall one, which this one is ))
