  • Drove through the Thunderstorm early in the morning. We got to the first bridge of Great Bay boulevard (aka Seven Bridges road ) and sheltered under the first bridge. Tried crabbing there for a bit and caught only 1 keeper. A lot of seaweeds, terrapins and caught a baby shark. Had breakfast and lunch and had a very slow morning for crabbing. So plan B! Off to Brick and she never lets us down. Had a non stop afternoon of crabbing, catching 33 crabs🦀! Beautiful sunset. Enjoy the video🥰!

I went to windward beach 3 times last year but didn’t do to well from the long pier. Had nephew and nieces and they were too excited pulling in the traps and hand lines constantly which may have been part of the reason for not doing well.

When you’re facing the river on the big pier, it’s that tiny dock on your left, all the way at the other end of the beach. If you want to crab there, you have to time it on a high tide. The area is quite shallow.
