Great video. I went with the acrylic 350 gallon Tsunami back in 2019. I bult my own stand using the king of diy plans. It's a nice centerpiece where my living room. No noticeable scratches so far.
I built my own big tank out of plywood. It’s a 480ish at 8ft x 4 ft x 30 inches. I did a poor job with the pond sealer and it started leaking last year so there is nothing in there right now as I find time to redo everything but I definitely did not keep monster fish ahahah I kept geos, angels and corydoras. Even though it only had 1 viewing window it was stunning.
If you care about cutting costs, you godda do plants. All of my tanks are filterless including my 500+ gallon outdoor pond, just cos I use some easy plants and let them grow really big. Filters are totally unnecessary and they add cost, plants are much easier.
@@TheAquaticCoder dnt be jealous I just checked under the house where my sunroom is and where the 125 is going to be and whoever did the addition 30 years ago completely butchered it the support beams are floating and there is zero support now I have to rebuild under the floor before I can even think about setting up my tank 🤯🤯🤯

Glad to hear it's working out well. Tsunami is a brand new to me as I started looking at larger tanks
330 IBC tote. Bottom drain already built in. Cut the top off with a Sawzall. You’re welcome.
100%
Fiberglass tank with window 🎉🎉🎉
Good option to consider as well. Definitely beats normal glass or acrylic tanks in price

Bummer it didn't hold up. Sounds like a cool project. I definitely say try again when you have the time
